Burberry Fall Collection: Cosmetics and Fragrances

In celebration of Burberry’s beauty counter at Sephora I decided to feature a few great products I’ve been enjoying. We all know that Burberry sets the bar high when it comes to sleek packaging, simple elegance and style and their makeup is beautifully embossed with their famous tartan pattern and chic logo. I have a few of their expertly crafted lipsticks in my collection and their fragrances are timeless and sophisticated.

The Burberry Kisses Lip Gloss in the shade Poppy Red is a bombshell hue every woman should have in her collection! This pretty pigment envelops lips in a classic bright red that compliments all skin tones for an alluring, juicy pout. Available is 28 luscious shades the intense mirrored finish provides loads of shine and a wet dewy finish so lips look plum and fabulous! These hues are inspired but the hottest runway trends and the smooth glide and rich, hydrating formula prevents dryness and provides moist comfort. The creamy gloss is made to last up to 8 hours and although it does have good longevity and vibrant, sheer pigmentation I usually need to reapply after eating or drinking. The Burberry Eye Color Creams also come in a variety of eye catching shades packaged in pretty glass jars. Mink is a neutral hue that appears very subtle on my skin tone but works on the days I prefer a soft, simple effect. It has a lovely bronze/taupe undertone with an iridescent, pearl finish and a velvety smooth cream-powder texture that doesn’t crease or fade. It is also great for blending or fading deeper hues and it works well for fall inspired makeup looks. The eye shadow retails for $34.00.

It isn’t fall without some gold (well at least not for me) so I’ve been accentuating my eyes with the Burberry Effortless Kohl Eyeliner in the shade Antique Gold. This beautiful hue does not have a bright yellow tinge which I refer to as the Midas effect, instead it has a gorgeous brassy undertone for a richer finish. I am a huge fan of liners that don’t require sharpening because it reduces product loss and prevents a warped point. This liner is twist up and easy to use with a built in sharpener on the other end. The formula is fantastic, it glides on for precise definition and sharp highly pigmented lines and the selling point for me is that the color doesn’t budge! The water proof formula has fantastic lasting power for all day wear even through heat, humidity and watery eyes. It retails for $32.00.

I have always been a fan of the Burberry fragrances and I have reviewed the sophisticated My Burberry perfume in a previous post. This is still one of my go to scents for everyday wear and when I attend parties and events around the city it puts the finishing touch on any outfit. The elegant blend has just the right amount of intensity (not too sweet, pungent or soft) and it works for every season. 

This perfume adds versatility and alluring uniqueness to any collection and the scent is irresistible! The formula contains a rare blend of exceptional roses. The delicate damask rose grown in Turkey is only harvested in May and grown at high altitude while the precious centifolia rose is grown in France and can only be handpicked between 4am-10am each morning. It also contains sweet pea, bergamot oil, golden quince, freesia, a dash of geranium and patchouli. The 90 ml bottle retails for $112.00 and it is also available in a 50 ml bottle.

The brand has also released their first Aquatic fragrance for men called Burberry Brit Splash with a crisp blend of spicy and urban notes. This invigorating scent is heightened with honeydew melon, rosemary, violet, cyclamen, musk and moss for a modern, refreshing aroma ideal for busy, fashion forward men. This scent is trendy and stylish yet masculine and great for everyday wear, the 90 ml bottle retails for $135.00.

If you are on the hunt for a rich fall lipstick the Burberry Lip Velvet in Oxblood is a smooth beautiful shade for all skin tones. It applies without any drag or feathering and the formula is super lightweight and luxuriously comfortable. The lipsticks retail for $38.00.

To keep your manicure perfectly on trend the matching polish in Oxblood or the deep midnight shade called Poppy Black is beautiful! The quality is superb and the creamy, bold formula applies opaque in just 1-2 coats with a glossy finish. The nail polish is $23.00

Nothing completes your look like glowing well sculpted skin! Some of my favorite products from the fall line are the Fresh Glow Highlight Pen ($39.00) and the Face Contouring Pen ($39.00). The thinner shape allows for more control so you can get right into the hollows of the face or along the nose to create the perfect definition and the creamy, blendable formula is easy to disperse for seamless results. The highlight pen adds a touch of silver radiance to the cheekbones, nose or under the brows for skin that gleams!
