Make Up For Ever Artist Liner - Review

No matter what makeup look I decide to create a great eye liner is essential. There is just something wonderful about a sharply defined lash line that seems to make eyes appear larger and more alluring. Make Up For Ever has recently launched the new Artist Liners available in 15 hues ranging from: purple, green, blue and gold as well as a variety of finishes such as: matte, metallic, and satin.

I have the liner in M-10 which is a highly pigmented, carbon black that compliments any eye shadow. The formula is very creamy yet dries matte and applies smoothly in one fluid, precise motion to create stunning, bold lines. If you have trouble working with liquids and felt tips then you may like the Artist Liner, it glides on effortlessly for simple, straight lines without the need to sharpen!

Because the texture is creamy and silky the color is very blendable to create sultry smokey effects. The liners are designed to be long-wear without fading and although they have a soft waxy consistency and oil ingredients once dry it is quite durable. The formula is not waterproof so I'm not sure how it holds up in humidity or if your eyes are prone to watering but it is ideal for fall and the cooler months.

I think this liner is great because it applies quickly and efficiently to create wonderful definition. I actually prefer creamy formulas because they are usually gentle on skin, easier to remove and tend not to dry out. Although I like the twist-up feature I had some issues with getting the liner to retract back down into the tube but overall this is a great product especially if you prefer bold, intense color like I do!

The pencils can be found at Sephora and Make Up For Ever Boutiques for $24.00 each.
