Burt’s Bees Gloss Lip Crayon Review

Summer is a busy time for me so I tend to favor lip products that glide on effortlessly for quick application on-the-go. The new crayons from Burt’s Bees are designed for precisely filling in color and accentuating the lips with juicy shine.

There are 6 shades available ranging from neutral, bright and deep so there is something for everyone. The gloss-balm hybrids provide loads of glistening moisture with a nourishing blend of Jojoba, Kendi Oil, Sunflower, Olive Oil, Rosemary Extract and Shea Butter. Since the formula is 100% natural, it does not contain parabens, artificial additives or fragrance but the scent is a bit waxy.

The smooth, creamy texture drenches lips in beautiful, buildable color and although the base is sheer, the intensity is vibrant (especially the bold hues) so you get good coverage and saturation. The plush, radiant finish makes lips appear plump and pouty with a lightweight, stain effect and the conditioning emollients soften, rejuvenate and heal dry skin even as the color fades away.

Left to right: (401) Outback Oasis, (413) Pink Lagoon, (432) Bordeaux Vines, (421) Pacific Coast, (431) Tahitian Sunset and (412) Santorini Sunrise

I love how buttery and moist these pigments are and I can even layer them over my lipsticks for a boost of shine and hydration throughout the day. The crayons retail for $9.99 each and Burt’s Bees is available at pharmacies, grocery stores and online at burtsbees.ca.
