Sephora Holiday Collection and Gift Guide 2019

During the holiday season most women and a few overwhelmed men can be found browsing the Christmas collection at Sephora. The store is usually crowded because trendy makeup, luxury skincare and elegant fragrances are always coveted gifts.

If you don’t like long lines or overflowing parking lots, simply shop online at sephora.ca. They have their own beauty line with a wonderful selection of gift sets.

Sephora’s Igloo Palace Blockbuster ($53.00) is jam packed with enough makeup to satisfy the pickiest people on your list. The trays pull out to reveal 60 vibrant eye shadows, 24 shiny lip glosses, 8 cream eyeliners, 4 brow powders, 6 highlighters and 6 blushes. This is definitely a palette you’d want to keep on your vanity to create trendy looks. The shadows are well pigmented (better that previous years) and I love the mix of cool, neutral and warm tones for all complexions and seasons. This is a fabulous gift for your sister, daughter or bestie.

The Limited-Edition Frosty Party Advent Calendar is currently marked down from $60.00 to $30.00 online. This is a gift that keeps on giving right up until Christmas! The cute box contains lip balms, sheet masks, nail polish, hair accessories, body products and more! Get one for yourself and another for a friend or co-worker.

I don’t know anyone in my family who wouldn’t love a box of skincare goodies. Frosted Party ($14.00) has everything you need for a night of pampering including a Lychee Face Mask, Charcoal Nose Strip, Coconut Hand Balm and Cucumber Eye Masks. This is fabulous for Secret Santa or stocking stuffers.

I’ve always been a fan of Sephora’s Lip Stains and now you can get 6 full-size festive shades with matte and metallic finishes for $37.00 – that works out to 3 free lipsticks! These creamy, saturated pigments are infused with nourishing avocado oil for smooth, consistent glide and long-lasting suppleness.

Add a pop of sparkle to your eye makeup with The Glitter Top Coat Mascara ($13.50). This is great for holiday parties because it stays put and makes lashes look stunning! Getting the particles to adhere can be a bit tricky so apply black mascara first and make sure your brush is thoroughly coated in glitter.

The Winter Eyes Palette has a pretty selection of gold, neutrals, frosty silver and holiday green to create a variety of festive looks. Winter Time ($24.00) may come with less shadow but it has 3 highlighters and a nice balance of shimmer and matte. Both compacts are soft and subdued which makes them ideal for people who don’t like heavy pigmentation.

For more stocking stuffer ideas, Sephora has a fabulous range of single sheet masks for $8.00 - $9.00 each.

The Frosted Party Multi-Sensorial Mask Set ($21.00) comes with 3 formulas – Anti-Blemish Hemp Mousse, Skin Perfecting Grapefruit Peel and Toning Peppermint Gum.

Keep your loved ones soft and moisturized this winter with the Pumpkin Body Butter ($9.00). It has a replenishing blend of minerals and vitamins that comfort dry skin.

The holiday makeup brushes are always fancy and you won’t want to miss the gorgeous Shimmer and Shine Set ($61.00). The clear handles are embedded with floating silver glitter and the bristles are soft, fluffy and flexible – great for application and blending. I love the plush fan brush and rounded powder brush. They are gentle yet sturdy with little to no shedding.

You’ll love the Tweezerman Rose Gold Brow & Lash Set ($50.00) with pro lash curler, award-winning slanted tweezers and a handy travel case.

The Milf Collection Lilly Lashes ($40.00 ea) are 3D Mink designs made from natural, cruelty-free fibers that look dramatic, flirty and voluminous. With proper care you can use them for weeks and the flexible application strip is light and comfortable.

Sephora Holiday 2018 Collection | Last Minute Gift Ideas

There are only 4 more days until Christmas so it’s time to finish your holiday shopping, sit back and enjoy some quality time with the people you love. If you’re still looking for a few last minute gift ideas, your best bet is to find the closest Sephora and pick up a few makeup sets from the holiday collection. Guys, if you don’t know where Sephora is, just follow the mob of women at the mall, chances are that’s where they’re heading.

As a travel editor I am always transporting my makeup from one country to another so I love the Sephora Collection Starlit Large Train Case ($138.00). It is a bit heavy to lug through the airport but on short trips it keeps me organized with a variety of compartments and pull out doors that open to reveal all my brushes and essentials.

The Moon Phases Face Palette ($34.00) has a beautiful variety of blush duos and highlighters that range from warm to cool and matte to shimmer. The smooth pigments have great color payoff and blend effortlessly for a seamless fade-proof finish. I like the unique combination of deep terracotta-orange, purple-y pink, rich brown and champagne.

Makeup lovers will go crazy for Sephora’s limited edition Cream Lip Stain Collection ($34.00). The high-coverage color glides on smooth and velvety before transforming into a saturated stain that stays put for hours! The texture is lightweight, silky and supple with a dose of avocado oil to prevent dryness. The only shade I don’t care for is the nude pink but everything else looks stunning!

The Enchanting Glow Palette ($13.00) has 4 luminous shades to brighten dull skin and enhance the cheeks with a natural flush. The bronzer and blush are a tad light so they may appear more prominent on fair to medium complexions.

For girls who love sexy lashes, there is no shortage of falsies at Sephora. If you’re on a budget I recommend the Double Down Set that retails for just $15.00 or the Fringe Lash Set with glittery gold case and glue for $25.00. If you’re in the mood to splurge, try the Lilly Lashes Set ($75.00) with 2 pairs of bestselling mink lashes and rose gold applicator.

You can never have too much sparkle during the holidays and the Sephora Loose Glitter Pots ($17.00) are sensational! This festive set shines like diamonds and comes with gold, green, silver and rose gold for the eyes, lips and body. Make sure to use an adhesive so the particles stay put.

The Wish Upon a Star Mini Brush Set ($17.00) comes with 4 small eye brushes you can toss in your purse for quick touch-ups or weekend getaways. It also makes a great stocking stuffer!

My favorite gift is the Rising Star Brush Set ($49.00) with gorgeous handles, soft bristles and a stand up glittery canister. It comes with brushes for the complexion, highlighter, shadow and smudging to create a complete look.

The Glitter & Chill Cooling Mask ($10.00) infused with rose gold glitter is a beauty essential! Pop it in the fridge for 30 minutes and use it to alleviate tired eyes, puffiness and headache symptoms.

The Tinsel Time Clutch ($18.00) is currently in my suitcase filled with holiday jewelry. You can also use it for makeup or sheet mask storage.

The stockings are always the first gifts my family opens on Christmas morning and I would love to find the Glowy Surprise Cracker ($19.00) tucked inside. It comes with a cream lip stain, blush and luminizer for all skin tones.

You can find these great products and more at sephora.ca but since Christmas is just a few days away, it is probably best to visit the store.

Happy Holidays!

Sephora 2017 Holiday Collection & Gift Guide

There is a good reason Sephora is always jam packed with people and on weekends it seems like every woman in the world decided to shop for makeup at the same time. The store is a one-stop-shop for all things beauty – a makeup wonderland full to the brim with the trendy must-haves you’ve been eyeing all year (boyfriends and husbands beware, once you're dragged in there is no escape). My advice to tackle the holiday rush: arrive early, don’t leave your list to the last minute, call ahead for product availability (or shop online) and be careful when checking out the Fenty Beauty isle because you might get trampled in the commotion (just kidding). Today I’m sharing some awesome sets, palettes and glam accessories for a little gift giving inspiration.

If you read my article – Battle of the Makeup Sponges then you know that Sephora’s Perfect and Restore ranked #2 on my list because it is most similar to the original Beauty Blender yet very affordable in comparison. When dampened these versatile applicators blend liquid makeup seamlessly for a flawless finish and there are different sets and sizes available for full-face coverage, concealer, contour and spot touch-ups. They also make great stocking stuffers.

Sephora Snow-Fetti Mini Sponge Set packaged in a Christmas ornament ($15.00), Blend Til The End Sponge Set ($15.00).

Never worry about dull skin with the Sephora Winter Flush Blush Palette ($20.00). This compact comes with 4 wearable matte shades and flattering shimmer highlighters for a healthy flush and a pop of radiance. The texture is silky and the finish is soft and subtle for a natural effect.

The Sephora Wonderful Stars Palette ($23.00) includes a pretty range of shadows, blush and luminizer that is travel-friendly and perfect for the season. Use the lighter hues during the day and create smokey looks with the deeper shades for a night out. The color scheme is luminous and fresh – great for all complexions and the pigmentation is buildable so you can enhance the intensity with a good primer and a few layers.

Most girls like to show-off their cute makeup bags so you might want to pick up the Let’s Disco Confetti Clutch ($25.00) with shards of pretty multi-colored foil. With this bag everyday is a celebration and the pieces float freely so you can scatter them any way you like to create different designs.

For the lipsticks lovers on your list the Sephora Mini Lip Stain Set ($15.00) is a must! If I got these cute minis in my stocking I’d jump for joy. The box includes 4 colors (neutral to deep) and the bestselling cream formula is rich, highly pigmented, vivid and full-coverage for show-stopping lips.

The Midnight is Coming Mini Palette ($6.00) is another cute stocking stuffer small enough to fit in your pocket.

It contains 3 universally flattering shades with a touch of shimmer for frosty winter evenings and the matte brown is great for crease contouring. On busy mornings with no time for blending, use it to create quick, stylish looks.

The Dark Rainbow Ready in Five Brush Set ($35.00) and Compact Mirror ($15.00) are both covered in sparkling glitter for a festive pop of holiday glam. I always keep a small set of tools in my purse for touch-up on-the-go and these stylish essentials are perfect for travel and everyday use. The beautiful clutch includes a powder brush, blush brush, shadow brush, crease brush and angled liner for all your makeup needs and the soft bristles feel great against the skin.

The Emjoi trend seems to sweeping the globe and although I find the fascination a bit odd, I can totally see the appeal of the cute little faces. This happy little tint ($6.00) nourishes parched pouts with glossy moisture and fresh flattering color for easy day time wear.

The Sephora Winter Queen Palette ($13.00) has 1 bronzer, 2 pretty blushes and 1 pearly highlighter so you can shape, define and enhance like a pro. The smooth, buildable powders are ideal for events and Christmas parties with bright, luminous finishes that provide a healthy glow.

The mermaid and rainbow trend is still going strong (I blame Ariel and unicorns) but I do love the multidimensional colors and the Dark Rainbow PRO Airbrush ($40.00) is stunning. The quality is fantastic with no shedding and as you rotate the handle it changes from pink to blue, green and purple. The densely packed soft bristles provide optimal coverage and a smooth, flawless finish when applying foundation. The small rounded tip helps target problem areas to conceal blemishes so it makes a great gift for a friend (or yourself).

Continuing with the flashy rainbow theme, the Dual Boar Bristle Brush ($19.00) is covered in shiny chrome that looks gorgeous every time you pull it out of your bag. It also keeps your hair neat and sleek while distributing natural oils from the scalp to fortify and nourish.

Z Palettes are great for saving space and customizing your collection of pigments. This one from Sephora stores a lot of product and makes a thoughtful gift for makeup enthusiasts and artists who need to de-pot and reorganize. It retails for $38.00.

Many of these items are limited edition and only available for the holiday season so make sure to check out the website at sephora.ca or get your goodies at the nearest store.
