Burt’s Bees has been creating earth-friendly, healthy
products for 30 years making it one the most popular and accessible natural skincare
brands on the market. The new Nourishment Collection is infused with vitamins,
Royal Jelly (a healing honeybee secretion known as one of nature’s most
nutrient-rich substances), amino acids, antioxidants and minerals for a
radiant, healthy complexion.
I use eye makeup remover pads all the time and they are my
go-to cleansers while traveling. These kiwi infused pads are 95.5% natural to
gently and effectively remove the most stubborn formulas including waterproof
and smudge-proof makeup. The soft cotton is pre-soaked in hypoallergenic,
fragrance-free cleanser that doesn’t burn or irritate the eyes and the jar comes
with a plastic cup to seal in moisture and prevent the pads from drying
out. The hexagon shape is designed to navigate the corners of the eye area and although it may take a bit of work they do remove most eye makeup. The jar contains 35 pads and retails for $9.99.
When choosing a face wash I usually prefer formulas that have
a thick, rich lather which is why I like the new Gentle Foaming Cleanser with
Royal Jelly Extract and botanicals. Just 1-2 pumps dispenses a creamy, fluffy
foam that eliminates excess oil, pollutants, dirt and makeup to clear pores,
soften and energize. My skin feels smooth and refreshed with no
tightness but I'm not a huge fan of the scent. The cleanser retails for $12.99.
We all know how important it is to get our beauty sleep
which is why a good night cream is essential to a healthy, well rested
complexion. This luscious, lightweight blend of flower extracts and hydrating
oils absorbs deeply to soothe dry skin for a natural glow with no greasy residue.
It also reduces the appearance of lines and wrinkles so you awake ready to
start the day with dewy, supple skin. For even more moisture I like to layer
the cream with serum or organic oil to create a sleeping mask - it retails for $19.99.
The Day Lotion ($19.99) with SPF 15 provides protection from
harmful UV rays while balancing and improving skin’s natural moisture barrier.
Although it is lightweight and non-irritating you do have to blend well in
order to distribute the white tint common with most SPF products. Once applied evenly
there is minimal color discrepancy and no sticky residue so it shouldn’t alter
the shade of your foundation or oxidize. The directions indicate that you should apply the
cream at least 15 mins prior to sun exposure and every 2 hours afterwards.
