NEW Skincare from Biotherm – Aquasource Aura Concentrate & Blue Therapy Red Algae Uplift

Biotherm is known for harvesting some of nature’s most nutritive aquatic ingredients and infusing them in incredible skincare. I use the products several times a week and since I just finished my jar of Aquasource Everplump Night Gel, I decided it was a good time to try the new collections.

Red Algae are known for their resilient healing properties and being able to thrive in the ocean’s harshest currents. Biotherm has now found a way to boost the regenerative properties of the plant’s elastin and collagen components to significantly counteract skin slackening and wrinkles.

Start with the Blue Therapy Red Algae Intensive Daily Firming Cure ($64.00) for incredible skin transformation in just 28 days. Simply apply 6 drops in the morning and evening, instead of or before your serum. The lightweight liquid melts in instantly and absorbs deeply for effective lifting and tightening results. Biotherm suggests that this treatment is a safe alternative to clinical or surgical procedures but with most topical solutions, results are usually more evident if used daily for a period of time. Your skin should begin looking youthful in a natural way with less visible damage, sagging and lines. I don’t have any wrinkles or visible signs of aging (probably because I use a lot of amazing products) but I have noticed that my skin is smooth, supple, revitalized and more radiant – definitely an improvement from the dull complexion I had after returning from vacation.

After applying the firming cure I use the Algae Uplift Cream ($86.00) for more moisture. My skin feels soft, silky and refreshed almost immediately and the rosy tint helps illuminate with no greasiness. After you massage it in look closely at the application site, you will notice tiny reflective particles dispersed evenly over your face for a glow-boosting finish. The cream is also great for toning and lifting the neck and profile.

The new Aquasource Collection is formulated with Life Plankton and Medicinal Aura Leaf for long-lasting hydration that quenches parched skin and enhances radiance. The powerful water-based complex is 90% natural, lightweight and refreshing with a dewy finish that instantly softens and plumps.

The Aura Concentrate ($66.00) can be used as a serum, added to the Aquasource Gel, mixed with foundation or applied on the cheekbones for a soft sheen. Shake the bottle to mix the oil droplets with the lush watery fluid and apply under makeup for a smooth, velvety base. There is no residue or stickiness and the concentrate seems to form a thin moisture barrier that locks in nutrients all day.

On hot summer days when skin feels stressed and irritated, the Aquasource Gel Moisturizer ($52.00) feels cool and refreshing. Day after day the fragrant green gel replenishes dull skin and reinvigorates for up to 48 hours of deep hydration. It also helps control oil production by maintaining a healthy moisture balance so skin remains fresh and grease-free even in humid conditions.

The Life Plankton Sensitive Balm ($64.00) is also great for hot summer days because it restores, strengthens and heals dryness, irritation and redness. The balm has a rich, creamy texture that protects from external aggressors, and calms aggravation for newborn skin in just 8 days.

Biotherm is available at Shoppers Drug Mart, The Bay, Rexall, Sephora and online at biotherm.ca
