Garnier 5 Sec Blur Review

I am always on the hunt for products that will improve my makeup application for flawless, all day coverage and today I have a review on the 5 Sec Blur by Garnier. This product is an all-in-one primer designed with light reflecting technology to “instantly” blur the look of wrinkles, fine lines, dilated pores, flaws and blemishes. Light diffusers in the formula are designed to produce immediate anti-aging results for younger looking, more radiant skin in just 5 seconds!

Along with having anti-aging properties this product is a great primer! The light-weight texture glides on with a soft, cushiony feel and makes my skin smoother and less textured. The cream can be applied to the entire face or specific areas after moisturizer and helps even out any roughness with no greasy shine or residue. It is ideal for both oily and dry skin types and can be used alone or under makeup.

Compared to the high-end primers I have used, this one is a great; it preps my skin for makeup and improves the appearance of my products by creating an even surface for application while mattifying my skin. I also like that it corrects irregularities and makes my skin feel soft and silky. I do notice an instant improvement in the appearance of my skin and my pores are visibly reduced and smoothed out. It also doesn't take a lot of cream to cover the entire face consistently which makes it a great value!

If you are interested in the anti-aging properties the primer contains a highly concentrated formula of silicone elastomer that fills in wrinkles and fine lines. This has quickly become one of my go-to beauty products when I want a flawless finish.

Clarins Instant Smooth Perfecting Touch Base Review

Over the years I have tried and tested many makeup bases and primers; some were hits while others totally missed the mark. Today I have a review on the amazing Instant Smooth Perfecting Base by Clarins which has quickly become one of my must-have beauty items! I have been using this base everyday and in the humidity of summer when I need my makeup to stay intact and maintain its smoothness this is my go-to product!

When I apply BB creams, foundation and concealer I prefer seamless coverage and a flawless finish. Clarins calls this base “magic makeup” because it is formulated to smooth away the appearance of fine lines, enlarged pores and imperfections. The texture of the base is ultra creamy and thick but it feels light-weight after blending and glides on effortlessly. It makes skin feel firm, silky smooth and creates a translucent veil for an even, flawless finish. 

The base has a very light scent and contains mico-pearls to fill in wrinkles and uneven texture. It works well over dry skin and under the eyes for smooth makeup application. It also protects against dehydration with a non-greasy formula and contains plant ingredients and vitamin E. This cream definitely helps boost my complexion and the finish of my makeup. It also makes my face look fresh and improves the adhesion of my foundation for consistent, full coverage.
