Since the beginning of spring I have reviewed a few bronzers
and highlighting products because I love glowing summer skin. There is just
something about the way the sun catches the shimmer in a nice highlighter that
makes skin look dewy and healthy. One of my favorite glowing celebs is
Jennifer Lopez, her makeup artist definitely knows how to highlight her cheeks for
luminous skin and in the warmer months I try to achieve the same effect.
Today I have a
review on a wonderful all-in-one bronzing highlighter by essence cosmetics. This
product is a part of the Sun Club line that carries a few types of
bronzers and highlighting products with both shimmer and matte finishes.
The bronzer I have is called 02 Sun Glow and is suited for brunettes and medium to dark complexions.
It combines a distinctive blend of 5 different shades: deep bronze,
medium bronze, gold, champagne and orange. Mixing the shades together produces a
unique blend of colors and wearing each shade
individually also creates different highlight and bronzing effects.
Swatches
In this photo I used the lightest color to illuminate my face
essence products used in the above photo include:
*essence Get Big Lashes Triple Black Mascara
*essence Lash Mania Reloaded False Lase Mascara
*essence Sun Club Bronzing Highlighter
*essence lipstick in the shade- Wear Berries
*essence Metal Glam eye shadow in the shade Jewel Up The Ocean (Click HERE for review)
For blondes and fair
complexions essence also offers a palette with lighter shades of silver,
bronze, champagne and pink in the color 01 Sunlight (seen below).
What makes this
product all-in-one is that any of the shades can be used to highlight the body or
applied as eye shadow. If you are
wearing a tank top or cute shorts this summer you can add some highlight
to the shoulders and down the center of the legs for radiant looking skin.
The texture is
smooth, easy to blend and very buildable for subtle shimmer or extreme glow.
For such a great product it is a steal at just $4.49!
essence classic must-haves
Since I have been reviewing many of the new beauty products from essence I thought I would also give an honorable mention to some of my classic favs. I have purchased a lot of these essence Color & Go mini quick dry polishes because of their bright bold colors, great formula and convenient travel size. The shade called Ultimate Pink is my favorite pink lacquer and they retail for about $1.99 each.
You can find essence cosmetics at Shoppers Drug Mart, Ulta Beauty, on the website HERE and you can find a location near you by clicking HERE
