Butter London Moisture Matte Lipstick Review

And the award for the most luxurious matte lipsticks of the year goes to...Butter London for their new Moisture Matte Lippies! 

Okay in all seriousness these lipsticks are fantastic, you know that feeling you get when you tear open beautiful packaging, take a peek at the contents and your eyes light up because you just know it’s going to be good? Well that was me a few weeks ago receiving a package from Butter London. One look at the chic black tubes and vivid color and I was ready to get all dolled up for a night out.

These lush, velvety lipsticks have a matte finish void of shine or stickiness and unlike some matte formulas they provide supple moisture. The long-lasting, non-drying formula also has incredible pigmentation that glides on buttery smooth. This formula is a lipstick lover’s dream; it provides intense, full coverage color without feathering or bleeding. The revolutionary gel capsule technology is designed for silky application and maximum comfort.

The triple butter complex formulated with: mango seed butter, murumuru seed butter, cupuacu butter, vitamins and minerals provide rich hydration and although they are meant to smooth the surface of lips for consistent coverage, I found it best to avoid applying them over chapped skin. I like pairing them with a lip primer for fluidity, improved coating and flawless application. The lipsticks do tend to slightly rub against the inside of the tubes when twisting them up or down but I love the light vanilla scent and the 11 gorgeous shades.

Blowing Raspberries is described as a full-coverage raspberry-red cream, ideal for every season! On my skin tone this shade appears more of a creamy light pink but I adore it nonetheless.

Dhaling is described as dusty pink although on me it shows up similar to a fuchsia hue with ultra bold pinkness. This lipstick is a stunner and I think it would compliment many complexions especially if you crave show-stopping pigment.
