essence All About...Eye Shadow Palettes Review

It’s time to bring a bright splash of color to fall and lighten things up with the essence all about...eye shadow palettes. With 4 palettes to choose from containing 6 trendy colors each the variety is great! Whether you like bright tropical hues, subtle nudes or warm pigments inspired by a beautiful sunrise these affordable palettes can create many different effects.

The two palettes I have are very different; all about paradise is bright and fun like the sunny Caribbean and the pigmentation is playfully vivid. The all about candies palette is soft and neutral with pastel hues.

I prefer the paradise palette because the colors are bold and the color pay-off is more consistent. The shades complement each other well and although the texture is a bit coarse they are still quite blendable. For increased intensity I recommend using a primer but I like the shimmery finish and ease of application. The colors are also buildable, non-creasing and quite long-wear while providing decent coverage.

The all about candies palette is suited for those who prefer light, shimmery tones that are more subdued. Not all of the shades have the same intensity of pigmentation; some apply more solid than others but they all have a nice silvery sheen. Unlike the paradise palette with its distinguishable bold variety, the pastel shades all appear quite similar and are suitable for highlighting. I would pair these shades with a deep crease color or a bold black liner for more depth but overall I prefer brighter hues.

For just $4.99 these palettes come in handy for quick looks and the small size is convenient for travel. You can find them at Shoppers Drug Mart in Canada, Ulta Beauty in the U.S and at select retailers throughout Europe.

  3. Have you tried the 'all about nudes'? I got it and so far I'm loving it! It creates a really simple nude look! I also have the candies palette but I have not tried it out yet!
