Amie Skincare Review

This summer I reviewed a great new skincare line called Amie and since then I have used almost all of their products which contain ingredients that are tailored to most skin types. Today I am featuring a few new items that I have incorporated into to my skin care routine.

Amie is an award winning British skincare brand that has created a wonderful collection of 8 beauty essentials designed to help women of all ages and ethnicities achieve healthy, beautiful skin. The products are formulated to be gentle, mild and non-irritating and utilize the powers of natural plant and botanical extracts to keep your complexion clear and radiant. The products are high-quality, affordable and free of harsh chemicals that can cause dry, itchy skin and the over-production of oil. It is also pH balanced and Dermatologist tested to help control blemishes and restore moisture and hydration.

Amie Bright Eyes Very Gentle Makeup Remover ($8.00)
I like to wear quite a bit of eye shadow, liner and mascara so I need products that can really soak everything off while sparing my lashes and not striping my skin. This gentle makeup remover smells light and fresh and is formulated with: meadow cornflower, chamomile and cucumber to soothe and clean the sensitive area around the eyes.

The remover is suitable for vegans and lifts off stubborn eye makeup including metallic and glitter formulas. I love that it doesn't burn my eyes and the oil-free formula leaves behind no greasy residue. I do have to soak my lashes for a while to loosen waterproof makeup but I like how gentle it is. This is a great remover if you have sensitive eyes and prefer natural products.

Amie Radiant Dawn Exfoliating Daily Wash ($10.00)
The face cleansers in this line are some my favorites! They have a naturally sweet scent and contain no harsh sulfates that strip skin or leave my face feeling dry and tight. This wash is also free of: parabens, mineral oils and animal extracts and is infused with: green apple, lemon extract, blueberry seed and beads of vitamin E.

The exfoliating beads are very fine and not ultra coarse so they don’t scratch or irritate the surface of the skin. They gently help slough off rough, dead skin cells leaving my face feeling soft and supple! I also like that it suds up lightly to provide an invigorating clean.

Amie Morning Clear Purifying Facial Wash ($10.00)
If you prefer clear, soft skin without the exfoliating beads then the Morning Clear Purifying Facial Wash also works well. This formula is gentle and bursting with high-quality plant extracts like mayblossom and elderflower which help control oiliness and prevent blemishes for clear, balanced skin. The natural moisturizers soften and orange blossom and raspberry tone and refresh.

The light, sweet scent of this line is mild and pleasant making it suitable for those who have sensitive skin and avoid harsh fragrances and perfumes. Amie is available at Shoppers Drug Mart.
