NEW Marcelle Ultra Gentle Cleansing Gel Review

I take cleansing and pampering my face quite seriously and I invest a lot of time into my routine because it impacts the appearance and resilience of my skin. Having sensitive, combination skin means that I can’t just slop on any generic cleanser that may contain irritating ingredients. I am frequently on the lookout for new cleansers that will work with my skin’s delicate balance of dry and oily to lift away the effects of pore clogging makeup and environmental factors.

Today I have a review on the great new Ultra Gentle Cleanser by Marcelle. This mild, non-foaming cleanser is formulated to effectively clean skin and maintain moisture balance. In the past when I used cleansers that did not foam I was weary of their ability to deep clean; since then I have learned that the foaming action generated by some cleansers may be associated with harsh, drying soap ingredients. This cleanser is soap free but still removes all remnants of makeup to thoroughly cleanse without uncomfortable tightening and dryness.

Although the cleanser is labelled as a “gel” the texture is more on the creamy side which makes it easy to massage over the skin. It is designed for all skin types including “skin prone to eczema, psoriasis, rosacea and acne.” It is also pH balanced and gentle enough to use around the eyes and to remove eye makeup.” In fact the cleanser is so gentle that you don’t even need to wash it off, you can simply apply it to dry skin, massage in and remove with a cotton ball. I prefer to use it after makeup removal and rinse it off completely following up with moisturizer.

The gel is recognized for skin health by the Canadian Dermatology Association and contains soothing aloe.

It is also: paraben free, oil free, non comedogenic, perfume free and gluten free.

There is a lot of product in the 350 ml bottle and I usually only need two pumps. It also works well with my cleansing brushes and leaves my skin feeling renewed, soft and clean. I would definitely recommend this product if you are looking for a refreshing, safe cleanser.
