I have a love-hate relationship with falsies. I love the
dramatic way they thicken lashes and make eyes stand out but I detest the finicky glue and painstakingly trying to line them up on my lash-line. Nevertheless I decided to give falsies
another try when I saw the beautiful selection of handmade lashes at BornPretty.Com.
I decided to get two varieties, bold and natural. The first
set is called Aimei Eyelashes which I believe is a Chinese brand that comes in a box
with 5 sets. These lashes are quite long, dense and glamorously dramatic. The
hairs are woven in a crisscross pattern and are well made. They are also cut rather straight so instead of curving upwards they protrude outwards creating a unique effect.
On the site there are many dramatic variations available and you can find these lashes HERE, they retail for $6.65 per box.

The second set of lashes is entirely made by hand and although quite thick the pattern is more natural. These lashes are also quite
long but not overly so and they are made of multi-length hairs. The quality is great which allows for multiple wear of each set and they are light weight and non-cumbersome. The box contains 10 pairs of lashes for
just $6.49 and although I lack the patience for daily application I do think
these are great for everyday wear. You can find them by clicking HERE.
Here is a photo of me wearing the lashes above along with the smokey Sugar Box purple eye shadow palette also from Born Pretty.Com.

Each row of lashes is held down by a gold sticker and although easy to remove the packaging does not allow for the formation of a natural curve making application a bit more difficult. To apply the lashes I did have to bend them to fit the shape of my eyes but curling them was not necessary. The attachment line at the top also comes with an extended fiber that hangs over the lash line and needs to be trimmed for proper adhesion.
When it comes to falsies practice makes perfect and with a
little persistence eventually the process becomes easier. If you love false lashes Born Pretty offers a great variety at affordable prices and if you use the code EDH10 you will receive an additional 10% off any purchase.

Oh no, sorry to hear that, they can be a bit harsh on your lashes if you aren't careful. Usually I will soak the area with a makeup remover to loosen the glue before gently peeling them off. I use the remover to then clean the falsies off again before storing them.
Deletei have sparse short lashes, so i love me some falsies! sounds like a great deal for all of those lashes.

ReplyDeleteThese lashes are really pretty! I'm trying to get more into wearing falsies too. Sometimes I can get them on with no problem, while other times it takes me like 20 minutes. The struggle is so real.

ReplyDeleteThey look good, and the price is fair. The only falsies my daughter has tried are the ones from KISS. We got them in an influenster box, and she really liked them.
