Must-Have Skincare Products from Clarins

With so many skincare products out there is can be difficult to pinpoint what actually works and although I alternate between a variety of brands today I want to give credit to some of my favorite skin silkening creams and serums. Clarins has a great selection for combating almost everything your skin can throw at you so let's ditch the winter gear and focus on replenishing and recuperating dry skin for a radiant glow from head to toe.

Let’s begin with the Hydra-Quench Crème Masque which is great for refreshing parched skin and gentle enough to use a few times per week. This creamy skin savior won a Cosmetics Beauty Award for its ability to deliver intense hydration and boost even the thirstiest skin.

The formula is smooth, rich and lotion-like so it does not dry out or tighten as you use it. Infused with katafray bark and hyaluronic acid the masque promotes optimal moisture balance and helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and dry patches. It has a lightweight texture and a subtle, pleasant scent that is non-irritating. After 10-15 minutes my face feels supple, soft and ready to take on whatever the weather has in store! It retails for $36.00.

Serums are some of my favorite skincare products! There is just something ultra soothing about the nourishing texture and silky oil-like moisture that keeps my skin hydrated for hours. The Clarins Double Serum (Hydric + Lipid system) seeps deep into the face and works wonders! The nutritive elixir contains 20 plant extracts with anti-aging properties to firm and reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles. It helps even the complexion, reduce pores and restore luster with ultra moisturizing avocado oil, rose, tomato, parsley, banana, kiwi, sunflower, chestnut and more! This bottle is packed with antioxidants and skin softening ingredients and just 1-2 pumps dramatically enhances the appearance of my skin creating a light veil of protection and dewy radiance. It can also be layered under the Hydra-Quench face creams for even more luxurious moisture and retails for $87.00 (also available in a jumbo size).

After scooping out the last of my Hydra-Quench face cream I knew I had to have more! Recently I've been using the Hydra-Quench Cream-Gel formulation which provides instant relief of dryness and works wonders under makeup. The light consistency soothes on contact with an invigorating cooling sensation and the gel softens and revives with no stickiness.

I love everything about this cream- the pleasant scent, the oil-free matte finish and the extra dose of hyaluronic acid. It is also suitable for normal to combination skin and it provides anti-pollution protection. Infused with katafrey bark, herbs and flower extract this is definitely one of my favorites from the line. The cream retails for $50.00 and has become an essential for every season.

After my face is treated I turn my attention to body care. The grueling winter and cool spring has left my skin in need of some serious hydration and Clarin’s award winning Moisture-Rich Body Lotion is the answer! Formulated for dry to very dry skin this rich cream combats the effects of cold air and signs of aging caused by the sun.

I like that the lotion absorbs quickly without leaving behind a greasy film and it gently removes dead surface cells, restoring firmness and battling dry patches for a satiny smooth finish. The luscious texture distributes consistently over the body and plant extracts, peach milk, shea butter, coconut oil and bitter orange maintains skin's moisture balance for long-lasting results.

The body lotion also works wonders on rough, dry hands, damaged nails and cuticles. I have tried many creams to keep my hands looking their best and just a small dollop of this lotion gets the job done quickly and smells great! If your hands need healing I highly recommend this product, it retails for $44.00.

The weather has also wreaked havoc on my lips and with an abundance of bright, pretty lipsticks launching this season, dry peeling skin is not acceptable! The Extra-Firming Lip and Contour Balm has been my go-to treatment for the last few months and it visibly repairs, plumps and softens the appearance of fine lines. The creamy texture soothes chapped skin on contact and replenishes with rich shea butter and raspberry oil for fuller more youthful looking lips. The jar is a bit narrow at the top which can slightly hinder extraction and although it isn't really purse size it makes my lips feel great! The balm retails for $45.00.

  1. they hydra-quench masque sounds good. I have been trying out different brands of hydration mask and I am not a big fan to apply them overnight as I find most of the product get rubbed off onto my pillowcase :( I will keep this one in mind.

    1. There are actually night creams that act as overnight masks and I will have a post coming up soon on some of my faves. These usually feel like moisturizer and I don't have any problems with them transferring to my pillow. Applying them earlier in the evening also gives them more time to absorb.

  2. I have always wanted to try that serum but have read mixed reviews on it so have held out from purchasing. Wish there's a way to get a sample to try first, it's pricey and I hate buying it and being disappointed by it. I do like the sound of the hydra-quench mask, that I will pick up to try.
