Avon Metallic Effects Nail Enamel – Review

Christmas is just around the corner and I am ready for all the silver, gold and tinsel! Just in time for the season Avon has released the Metallic Effects nail enamels which are frosty and festive! The formula is free of DBP, formaldehyde and toluene and the lacquers are designed to deliver streak-free long-wear color.

The collection includes five pretty shades that all have a great sheen finish with micro-glitter. Although the formula isn't thin it is a bit runny so wiping off the excess is necessary to prevent thick application, overflow and pooling around the cuticles. If you don’t over-apply, the polish dries quicker and thin layers are less prone to developing indentations and impressions. I like to pair these with a fast-dry top coat to speed up the process.

Swatches

The colors I have are: Jade Reflection- (metallic green), Icy Purple and Copper Gleam. All of these shades match well with a variety of holiday styles and although the tones are metallic they are not ultra bright or flashy for a nice chrome effect.

You can check out the collection by clicking HERE, the polish retail for $6.99 each.
