Avon 2016 Holiday Collection: Mark Eye Daydream of Glam Eye Shadow Palette Review

Many of you know that Mark is my favorite Avon brand and I’ve been eagerly awaiting the release of a new eye shadow palette. Just in time for the holidays they launched this jaw-dropping color collection - a sequel to the bestselling Eye Dream of Glam Palette which I still use all the time!

When it comes to unique design, pretty pigment and cool packaging this palette takes the cake! There are 16 large eye shadows in shimmery marbled finishes that resembles a multicolored galaxy. The casing is sturdy and even when closed you can see every shade through clear peek-a-boo circles on the lid.

The shade selection is fascinating with a beautiful array of gold, blue, silver, champagne, pink, garnet, purple, deep green and more. Although each shade has a swirl of color, the most dominant hue in the circle is the one that shows up and I should also note that they do not appear multi-toned on the lids. You can alter the shade slightly by sweeping your brush over certain areas of the shadow to pick up different tints.

Overall the pigmentation and color pay-off is good and only a couple shades have a sheer base. The consistency is silky enough but still quite textured without much creaminess. To achieve more intensity I usually layer over primer or dampen my brush to pick up more shadow and swipe on heavier to enhance the color. Using a base also helps prolong wear and allows for better adhesion.

The finishes are mesmerizing with some shades applying iridescent, luminous and metallic. The vibrancy and bold effects pair well with matte crease colors that are blended to perfection. With a flattering mix of everyday hues and lavish tones you can use this palette for soft looks or glamorous creations and the shadows compliment all skin tones.

The elves (aka – me) will be stuffing stockings with joyful scents this holiday season thanks to Avon’s scintillating new body mists! The brand offers a wide variety of amazing fragrances and these romantic bottles are perfect for fashionistas who crave trendy aromas in super cute packaging.

The boxed gift set includes a luxurious trio of sprays, each with its own delectable blend of notes.

One of my favorite things about holiday beauty collections is the glitzy packaging and this year mark cosmetics did not disappoint! The brand has released a glamorous new collection that includes fragrance, makeup tools, polish and shadow to get you ready for the party or complete your shopping list.

To help take your look to the limit, the Tough Luxe Eye Shadow Singles come in three mesmerizing shades with intense pigmentation and edgy metallic finishes. The soft, buttery texture applies effortlessly and in one layer I can achieve saturated, show-stopping coverage that doesn’t crease or fade. You can also use them wet to amp-up the drama and although a primer isn’t necessary I still recommend one to enhance the color even more! During the holiday season things can get hectic and many of us travel so the Glam Plan Brush Set is ideal for a girl on-the-go. The bristles aren’t the plushest but they are soft enough, sturdy and get the job done with minimal to no shedding.
