Mary Kay Limited Edition City Modern Collection Review

The sophisticated City Modern Collection by Mary Kay sets the tone for fall and compliments your wardrobe with rich pigments and luxurious formulas for the lips, eyes and nails!

The Limited Edition Velvet Lip Crèmes have a chic, metropolitan design packaged in slender tubes that slip in your bag for use on-the-go. As the weather cools down hydration is a must so I love the creamy, smooth glide and the unique, angled shape that forms to the contours of lips for easy application. 

The three new shades include: Berry Stylish (my favorite fall color) which is a trendy wine-plum, Oh so Chic- a deep bronzy hue that warms up the complexion with a hint of gold and Naturally Chic- a fetching nude. Although the hues are all within the same color spectrum there is a complimentary shade for all skin tones with lightweight moisture, a rich texture and a layer of satiny-shine. The coverage is quite sheer but can be enhanced to medium pigmentation for a glam, seasonal pout! They retail for $18.00 each.

The Eye Color Palettes are wonderful for styling-up your cute boots, warm sweaters and comfy scarves and I like the geometric design! Metro Modern contains slate matte grey, shimmery rose gold, blue and frosty silver which makes me think of cool fall evenings by the fire and wintery ski getaways.

City Sophisticate has a warmer combination of matte brown, shimmer pink, gold and taupe-silver. The colors are all highly pigmented, soft, slightly creamy, and easy to work with for great buildable coverage. Both squares come packaged in plastic holders so they can be popped out and placed in magnetized palettes for personalized creations and combos. For classy fall manis Mary Kay has released three luminous new shades. Berry Stylish is bold, beautiful and super cute on all skin tones while Polished Pearl and Gallery Gray can transition right into winter. Usually I don’t care much for subtle shades but the dreamy Pearl is infused with a snowy shimmer and the shiny gray is as fetching as a Christmassy stone cottage!

The formula of the polish is creamy, rich and easy to apply with opaqueness in just 2 coats! They retail for $10.00 each.

Mary Kay Timewise Microdermabrasion Plus Set

I am a huge fan of microdermabrasion and I even have my own machine for professional weekly treatments at home! The process of renewing surface cells has greatly improved my complexion, diminished blemishes and evened the texture of my skin which is fabulous for makeup application. Less discoloration and problem areas also means less concealer and foundation needed to achieve a flawless finish! As part of their fall collection Mary Kay is taking supple skin to a new level with the Microdermabrasion Kit which incorporates the same exfoliating ingredients used by dermatologists.
