Mark Limited Edition Body Oil

When it’s humid out I prefer to moisturize with light creams and non-greasy oils whereas in fall and winter when things cool down considerably I reach for thick butters and rich creams. The new body oils from Mark are available in 4 delectable scents that are light enough for summer and make skin feel smooth and silky!

When I first felt this formula I expected it to apply slick and greasy but it actually absorbs quickly much like dry oil with no residue. The moisture they provide is subtle but just enough to abolish dryness and applying the oil a bit heavier eradicates flaky patches. It also works well on dry feet without staining your sheets at night and you can use it to treat rough cuticles and damaged nails.

I would have liked to see more variety of natural oils in the ingredient list as the main moisturizer in all the formulas is olive oil. The scents are sweet and delicious with the infusion of fragrance so you can skip the perfume for a lighter summer-fresh aroma. Passionate for Plumberry has a fruity scent which is great for the season, Crushing on Coconut smells warm and inviting and Lemon Sugar and Dreaming of Jasmine are alluring with sparkling citrus, vanilla, and floral notes. If you take a whiff directly from the bottle you may get a faint hint of the alcohol but when massaged into the skin the oils all smell very nice.

You can use these oils in a variety of ways including:

*Massage directly on dry skin 

*Pour under running water into a warm, relaxing bath

*Apply all over the body while in the shower and then lightly rinse off

*Apply to damp skin after a shower or bath and towel or air dry

Clarins HydraQuench Cream Review

At the last Press event for Clarins, I had the opportunity to try a variety of their moisturizers and I was extremely impressed. Clarins offers a wide range of luxurious beauty items made in France and all products are put through rigorous testing and trial before they are released. It it is no wonder their products are great quality and favored by women of all ages.

Today I have a review on the Clarins HydraQuench cream formulated for normal to dry skin. It also works well on combination skin like mine. I like to keep my face hydrated morning, noon and night and I am always on the lookout for products that react favorably under makeup. This cream can be used all year and works well to relieve tight, dry skin and flaky patches.

The HydraQuench cream smells amazing and is specifically formulated to "promote softer, more radiant skin." A small dab spreads effortlessly over a large area and covers efficiently. It also has a pleasant cooling sensation that soothes and softens. Once applied, my skin feels incredibly smooth and supple and I love that it eliminates dryness without feeling greasy or looking shiny. The formula is rich but light weight, absorbs quickly and makes my skin feel fresh. It is also ideal for use during the summer and in humid climates.

I use the cream under primers, foundations and concealers. It helps prep my skin for makeup application and provides long lasting hydration without increasing oil production. The formula contains Katafray bark extract and hyaluronic acid to "provide optimal moisture within the skin's layers." It can also be used before bed on the face and neck so you wake up with dewy, revitalized looking skin.
