I love bold eyeliner and sometimes on a busy morning all you need to do is wing your liner, slather on some gloss and you are good to go. Today I have a review on the Line-Fix gel eyeliner by Cailyn Cosmetics. This brand also sells a great variety of makeup for the face and lips.
I usually use liquid eyeliner because I hadn't found a gel liner that I loved until now! This gel is very easy to work with even if you are no expert with drawing a straight line across your lashes. The formula is very creamy and doesn't dry out immediately after application which gives you time to perfect and alter your line. It glides on velvety smooth and you don’t need much to create an intense, bold look.
I love the packaging because it conveniently comes with a built in brush that is hidden in the handle of the cover. For travel you don’t have to worry about packing a separate brush or forgetting to bring one with you. The box also has simple instructions for creating the perfect line.

“Once dry, the gel is smudge proof and water proof for 24 hours.” The fact that it doesn't smudge makes it wonderful for smokey looks and lining the bottom lashes which is something I avoid with most liquid liners. It is also highly concentrated and safe for sensitive eyes. Although ultra pigmented the liner does not have the same finish or inked effect as a liquid liner, I find it similar to a pencil finish with more color payoff. Compared to some of the liquid products I have used this gel creates a neater, straighter line which makes eye makeup look tidier.
I would recommend this product for those who are new to gel or liquid liner and need to practice with something simple. Even though the formula is waterproof it is easy to remove with makeup remover or a makeup wipe. I also like that the gel maintains it's consistency and doesn't dry out in the jar.
The brush has a sturdy pointed tip and works well for creating both thin and thick lines. It is recommended that you clean the brush after each use and I also like to smooth the bristles back into the original shape to maintain the point. This has become my go-to eyeliner when I don't have the time or patience to work with liquid products but still want a sharp line.
The liner is available in 13 other shades and retails for $21 each. You can find more information on the website by clicking HERE. I definitely think this liner is worth the price.

OMG! I love this liner too! I'm so glad that someone else does too! No one ever knows what I'm talking about when I rave about this liner.ReplyDelete
Well now you have company because this liner is the best! :)ReplyDelete
OK...The built-in brush is way cool! So would you say it's worth $22? I just checked out their site, and it seems pretty reasonable for pricing. I'm going to have to get this and try it out. I'm sure my daughter will love it. Thanks for the awesome review!ReplyDelete
Yes it is worth the price! I have tried a lot of gels and this one is fantastic! A little goes a long way too which is another reason it is worth the price.Delete
Love the packaging on this one! The pigmentation is spot on too, sounds perfect :)ReplyDelete
Interesting. I'm always craving to try liquid gel liners after reading posts like this, but I'm always too afraid that my technique will make me look like a racoon.ReplyDelete
Don't be afraid, this is so easy to use! Practice a bit and you will get the hang of it!Delete
never heard of this brand, but i love gel eyeliner! been using it for several years. i definitely like ones that do not dry fast, because i make a lot of mistakes, lol!ReplyDelete
This liner sounds a lot like my MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack! Super easy to use, glides on like a dream as well. I love that this one comes with a brush though, super handy!ReplyDelete
It is, you should check it out!ReplyDelete
I've heard great things about this liner and you've confirmed them! I love the built in brush. Great review!ReplyDelete

I think I've seen products from this brand before, but I can't remember where :)) Anyways, I love gel liners, I don't like to use anything else, this one looks pretty awesome and I love that they have such such a wide variety of colors to choose from :DReplyDelete
Its one of the best I have tried, I've been using it every day since I got it.Delete
I think I have this in a gray shade, maybe Charcoal. I got it in an Ipsy bag way back and haven't properly tried it out yet. I really want to now!ReplyDelete
OMG you need to find it and try it out, you will love it :)Delete
We have a brand in India which makes something like this eye liner..Loved ur review,, xoReplyDelete
Thanks Natasha :)Delete
I got one of these in an Ipsy Glam Bag and use it all the time. It really doesn't smudge!!! Personally, I was impressed with it.ReplyDelete
I wish I got more products from this line in subscription boxes!Delete
I've only lined my eyes nicely one time! My eyes tend to puff up when I try to wear eyeliner so I try to stay away from it. Maybe I just haven't found the right eyeliner. Maybe I should give a gel liner a try. I seems to go on a bit more flawlessly than what I use.ReplyDelete
