Ben Nye Banana Powder Review

Today I am going to review a popular setting powder by Ben Nye. This is one of the first products I have tried from this brand and I am glad I did! I purchased it at IMATS for about $9 and it also comes in a larger size.

Banana Powder is a loose yellow powder that applies with a minuscule amount of color to help set makeup. It is also commonly used to brighten under the eyes.

The powder only comes in one color and is suppose to be well suited to all skin tones but the sales reps informed me that it works especially well on medium, tan, warm, yellow and deep complexions and undertones; although many women with light/fair skin tones also use this powder successfully. Despite the color it is quite translucent.

This powder is one of the best I have used in terms
of providing a nice matte finish. I like the way it sets and finishes my makeup for a very sleek, even tone and it gets rid of all shine. A little goes a long way and as I sweep it over my face it seems to absorb oil and produce a lovely natural look. I did find that in warmer temperatures I have to re- powder my face through the day but in the winter months I don't usually have to.

The only issue I have is with the packaging. It has a flat sifter top but once the powder comes out there is nowhere to contain it and getting the left over back in the jar is difficult. I have taken to transferring it into a smaller container for easier dispensing and travel but I have definitely wasted powder due to the packaging.

I also mix some of this powder with a bit of my Make-Up-Forever HD powder and it produces beautiful results. I will have a review on that setting powder coming up soon.

Overall this is a great product and helps skin look wonderful when going for a flawless finish. I will definitely be repurchasing it.

Edge Stick Hair Straightener Review

Today I will be reviewing a chic red hair styling tool called The Edge Stick. If you read my blog frequently then you may know that I have naturally curly hair and although I love my thick curls sometimes I like to change up my style by switching to a straight sleek look. Usually to straighten my long hair I wash, condition, deep condition, blow dry and then flat iron which can take hours! After all that styling and despite my best efforts eventually my hair begins to curl and get messy from the heat from my shower, the weather, sleeping on it and other factors.
What is the Edge Stick?
The Edge Stick is a tool specifically designed for root/edge touch-ups and straightening hair that is curly, wavy, frizzy and unruly; allowing you to maintain a smooth freshly styled appearance. I like the concept of this styling tool because it allows me to touch up the specific areas that need the most attention. Although it utilizes heat it isn't meant to be used on the entire length of the hair which is actually less damaging. The heat from this device does not come from the two combs on either side but rather the middle wand making it safe to use close to the hairline without burning the skin.

The device is great to use on those days when you get caught in the rain and your hair poofs out, or for those hot, humid, sweaty days when you need to retouch your style and roots. I think it is great for anyone who likes to straighten their hair.

Azure Professionals sent me their newest Edge Stick in the color “sexy red” which is a limited edition design and informed me that I would be the first to review this model. This new styling tool will be launched in mid January just in time for Valentine’s Day!
Features
The first thing I noticed about the Edge Stick when I removed it from the box was how light and small it was. The size makes it easy to use and easy to pack for quick touch-ups during travel. I also liked that it has a swivel cord which makes the device easy to manoeuvre. The cord is extremely long which allows you to plug it in further away from you if there are limited outlets available.

The Edge Stick also has a ceramic and tourmaline coated barrel, and digital heat control.

Heat
This styling tool gets up to 450 degrees for thick coarse hair textures and can be adjusted up or down by using the arrows on the handle. I like that the heat adjusts in ten degree increments because it allows for more heat settings and more control over the temperature. When you turn on the device it always starts at 200 degrees and after you set the temperature the blue light at the top of the device comes on to let you know that it is hot and ready to use. I like that it heats up and reaches the desired temperature quickly although I did find that the device had a delayed activation response when turning it on. I recommend using the least amount of heat possible to achieve your desired style in accordance with your hair type and texture. I use my Edge Stick at about 350-400 degrees for my ringlet curly hair.

Since I only use heat styling tools 3-4 times per year and I am very conscious about heat damage and taking care of my hair, I like that the Edge Stick “doesn’t damage or change the natural curl pattern.” You can also use this device on color treated hair although I personally have never colored my hair or used any harsh chemicals.
Using the Edge Stick
One of my favorite features about this device is that unlike my flat iron which cannot be placed close to the roots of my hair and sometimes even burns my scalp, the Edge Stick allows me to get in close and achieve neat, smooth roots with the least amount of fly-away hairs.

I also like that the device takes up very little room on my bathroom counter and that the combs help keep my hair tangle free while styling.

Make-Up-Matte Review

Today am reviewing a handy little product for those who liked to keep organized in midst of an insatiable love for makeup. Usually when I leave my house I take some makeup with me; whether it is powder for quick touch-ups or a few of my favorite lipsticks, I always have a small collection of must-haves floating around in my bag.

The Make-Up-Matte is a cute, functional makeup station that you can take with you on the go! It can accommodate a wide range of beauty products and makeup brushes.

For Travel
You can use the Make-Up-Matte almost anywhere! I love that you can shove all your essentials into it, fold it up and put it in a travel bag or purse. It is great for vacations and weekend getaways because it acts as a cosmetic organizer and holder and then when you arrive at your destination you just unroll it and use it as a makeup station! When I travel as I do often, not all hotel rooms have areas where I can comfortably apply my makeup; sometimes I find myself heading wherever the natural light source is so that I can actually see what I’m doing. Often times I end up sitting on the hotel bed, near a window or at a desk, so this matte is ideal for me because I can spread it out and not mess up the sheets or surfaces.

Aside from makeup you can also transport your travel essentials in it like creams, hair brushes, perfumes, toiletries and other personal items.

I also like using the matte on my vanity. No one wants to get eye shadow and makeup residue on their nice table, so I spread out the matte and do my makeup right on top of it. The Make-Up-Matte is  machine washable, helps contain any mess and cuts down on cleanup especially with mineral makeup.

This matte is great for use at the gym and you can also use it in your bathroom, in the car (not while you are driving of course) and anywhere else you do your makeup. For those of you who have hectic mornings and find yourself scrambling to get to work you can easily slip all of your essentials into the matte and then unroll it right onto your desk when you arrive at the office.

Unlike traditional brush rolls which only transports brushes and are not nearly as cute as these designs, this matte has a variety of pocket sizes ranging from small to large so that you can fit in brushes as well as palettes, blush, lipsticks compacts and much more. I also like that the pockets are soft and flexible allowing me to put a few eye shadow brushes into each individual slot. The matte also comes with a band that secures all your makeup inside once you have it all rolled up.

Designs
I got my matte in animal print but The Make-Up-Matte also comes in many beautiful designs, colors and patterns and it looks quite trendy while on the go. I also like that this product is soft on the inside, good quality and made from good material. Some of the mattes even come with matching headbands so that you can keep your hair back and out of the way while washing your face or applying makeup.

Other uses for the Make-Up-Matte

You can also use the Make-Up-Matte for packing and transporting skin care essentials like skin cleansing brushes, bottles of lotions, serums and toners.

For the nail polish lovers out there this matte can also work for carrying nail polish, files and nail accessories.

I would even use this product to store and carry my jewelry during travel because of the soft microfiber lining (as seen in the photo below).

The Make-Up-Matte sells for $22.95 and you can order it from the website HERE
You can also find the Make-Up-Matte on:

Make Up Forever Aqua Brow Review

I like well defined prominently shaped eyebrows because nice brows can change the shape of your face and give you a completely different look. Usually I get my eyebrows threaded at a local spa and then I fill them in for more color and definition.

Previously I was using the three dollar e.l.f Studio eyebrow kit that comes with a gel and a setting powder. For more info on this kit click -HERE. The kit worked okay but I found that I had to work pretty hard to build up the color and fill in all the spots between the hairs.

At IMATS in November I purchased the Make Up Forever Aqua Brow Gel because the reviews were good and I wanted something of better quality that is long lasting. I absolutely love this brow gel! Not only is it easy to use but a little goes such a long way. I apply a few small dabs directly from the tube using my angled brush and the color blends out easily and provides good coverage.

This brow gel covers and fills in the spaces between hairs very well. It also dries pretty quickly and it is water proof which makes it suitable for every season. I have pretty thick eyebrows but if you have thin brows or barely there brows this gel shouldn't vanish on hot sweaty days or as you emerge from the sauna or pool.

Colors
The gel comes in a few different colors such as light blonde, blonde, ash, and dark brown which is the one I use. Even if you have black hair like I do, you shouldn't use a black gel or pencil to fill in your brows because black looks too harsh and unnatural. You want your brows to be defined but not awkward looking so for black hair or dark brown hair a dark brown gel works well.

I also like that this gel provides a natural finish with just the right amount of color, it doesn't make your brows look comical or fake. When I use this gel I don’t need to use any other brow powders or pencil liners to fill in the color. You can even use the gel to outline and define the shape and arch of the brows because it is pigmented enough to give you a nice line.

The brush I use to apply my gel is this e.l.f. Studio small angled brush
You can find the link to this brush- HERE

Application
Before I begin filling in my brows I comb the hairs with an eyebrow brush to make sure they are neat and going in the same direction. When I begin filling them in I prefer to start at the ends of my brows which are more sparse and work my way in. Try to fill in the brows so that they are the same shape and width.

You can purchase this gel at Sephora for $24 I got mine at IMATS for $15

If you are looking for a great brow gel then I highly recommend trying this out.

What do you use on your brows?

Purple Eye Makeup

Since posting a review on the Coastal Scents 120 palette I received requests from readers to do makeup looks using the vibrant shades from the palette; so today I have a look that I like to call Purple Passion.

My sister is always asking me to create easy makeup looks so that anyone, even those less experienced with makeup or those who have less time to apply makeup can re-create it. I kept it simple so that anyone who has this palette or similar colors in their collection can try it. It doesn't take much work and the different purple hues blend together and compliment each other well.

Save The Blow Dry Shower Cap Review

Today I am going to review and share a product that seems like it was created with me in mind! How many times have you stood in front of the mirror styling your hair, blow drying, flat ironing and even curling and then right after you take a shower your hair is frizzy, damp and ruined from humidity and water?! I have very long, naturally curly hair so it takes me an hour or more to blow dry, de-tangle, flat iron and style! I try to keep my hair straight and my style intact for as long as I can but as soon as I get in the shower again the humidity and moisture messes up my do.

Save The Blow Dry moisture eliminating shower cap has a waterproof design with an “internal layer of super absorbent micro fiber towelling that eliminates humidity and condensation.” The cap prevents hair from becoming frizzy and flat, leaving your style intact and hair dry.

 Keep your hair looking ravishing
One of the best features of this cap is that it is great for all hair types. Whether you have long thick hair like me or short fine hair, the cap should fit because it has a band that sits snugly yet comfortably around the head to keep hair in. This cap is wonderful; I can confidently get in the shower with pin straight hair and come out with my hair looking the same as when I went in!

If you tend to take very long hot showers however the cap will not prevent your head from sweating which can mess up your hairstyle.

Design
I also love the cute feminine design of this shower cap and it is phalate free. I think the fantastic materials of the dual layer design and the great quality is what really helps keep moisture and water out. Currently there is only one pattern and color available for purchase since the company is quite new but hopefully they will get a wider variety soon.
This is the inner towel layer

Deep Conditioning
I take care of my hair and deep condition it every week. With Save The Blow Dry shower cap you can turn it inside out so that the towel layer is on the outside and the plastic portion traps in the heat and allows conditioner to absorb and do its job. I sit with my conditioner on under this cap for about 30-50 mins before rinsing and it does provide better deep treatment results. For more information on how to deep condition hair see my post by clicking HERE
Cleaning & Maintenance
All you have to do upon exiting the shower is shake the cap out and hang it to dry in a ventilated area. To clean the cap you can sponge clean or wash by hand and hang to dry. Because the cap has folded material around it, I did  find that if you don't hang it up properly it may not fully dry.

Long lasting
When I purchase traditional plastic shower caps I usually run into 2 problems. 1. I can't get all of my hair into the cap and some strands hang out and get wet and 2. They are flimsy and don't last very long so I have to keep repurchasing them. This cap is very durable so I doubt I will need to buy another shower cap for some time.
Pricing & Where to Buy
Save The Blow Dry is a company situated in the U.K but they do ship worldwide and purchases can be made on their website. This cap is €14.95 + €3 for shipping. Those located in the U.K pay €1 for shipping. You can purchase this cap from the website by clicking HERE

Blinc Eyeliner Pencil and Eye Shadow Primer Review

Today I am going to be reviewing some new products that I have been trying by blinc. blinc is a cosmetics company that sells products predominantly related to enhancing the eyes such as: eye liner, mascara, brow products, shadow primers, lash primers, lash curlers and brushes for applying eye makeup. Their products are manufactured in the United States and Germany.

Lasting Power!
The first product I am going to review is the eyeliner pencil. For those of you have a hard time keeping your eyeliner in place and notice that you have black smudges and circles from eyeliner that has traveled under your eyes then this is a great pencil for you.

This eyeliner is “smudge proof, water proof and life proof.” The company claims that this product is their "latest cosmetic breakthrough" because it is “one of the longest wearing pencils available in the industry.” I found that they are absolutely correct! I have been using this pencil for weeks now and I can attest to the fact that it is super long lasting and it does not budge from where I apply it. Even if I rub my eyes as I sometimes do, the liner does not come off on my hand like other eyeliners I own. In fact when I swatched this liner on the back of my hand for this post I could rub my fingers vigorously over it and it did not come off, smudge or transfer.

Waterproof
Sometimes I have those days where my eyes water a lot, especially as the day wears on and I become fatigued; this eyeliner holds up well even during my worst watery eye moments!

Formula & Application
I like the formula of this eyeliner; it is smooth and easy to apply. With other brands I have used I found myself having to go over the line a few times to get the color to adhere, and then my eyes would begin watering from the process and the color would fade away. With this liner the color adheres and glides onto the lash line instantly producing a beautiful, bold pigmented line. It also applies effortlessly on top of eye shadow. This is also a great liner to use for smokey eye shadow looks because it can be blended above or under the lash line. You do have to sharpen it which is rather standard but I would have liked this product even more if it was a twist up pencil.

Antioxidants & Vitamins
The eyeliner also has some added benefits such as:
* Bioactive ingredient based on pure vegetable lipids that maximizes firmness and elasticity for younger looking skin
* Vitamin that acts as a natural antioxidant to promote anti-aging and cellular renewal
* High potency vitamin that acts as a skin conditioning agent for photo anti-aging

I have never owned an eyeliner with so many wonderful benefits for the skin!

Packaging, Colors & Price
The liner comes in a cylindrical tube with all of the product information on it. I think the packaging is quite cute and also helps ensure that I don’t misplace it among all the other liners on my vanity or during travel. I have the pencil in the color black but it also comes in blue, brown, purple, grey and white. You can purchase this pencil from blinc’s website by clicking HERE  it retails for $20.

Removal
The packaging says that the eyeliner can be removed with a makeup cloth. The best, fastest and least abrasive way to remove the liner around the sensitive skin of your eyes is to use a good eye makeup remover or a moist makeup cloth, soak the area for a few seconds and then gently wipe away.

Conclusion: this eyeliner is great quality, does what it claims and is worth trying out.

blinc Eye Shadow Primer: Fountain of Youthful Color

Many of you know by now that I love eye shadow and creating bold looks so blinc knew that this product would be a perfect match for me. I use a primer every time I apply my shadow and I think it is essential for the overall finished look of your makeup. This primer also comes in a cute tube.

Additional Benefits for the skin
Like the eyeliner this primer also has anti-aging benefits, "clinical studies have shown that it decreases fine lines after just six weeks by 67% and increase skin's moisture after just one week by 53%."

Colors
I received the color called flesh tone and there is one other color available which is lighter and fittingly called light tone. As you can see from the swatch below the color is not the shade of my skin tone and it doesn't have to be. Even with flesh colored primers you do not have to get an exact match because after you blend it out and apply your shadow on top you won’t see the primer; the primer acts as a base.

Results
I apply a few small dabs of this primer directly onto my eyelids and then blend it out with my fingertip. This primer is suppose to offer full coverage by concealing and filling existing fine lines, eliminating redness and providing a smooth lid. It does do a nice job of smoothing out the lid, it dries fast and eye shadows adhere to the layer of primer quite well. I did find that this primer made my eye shadow appear more dense and concentrated, by allowing the shadow to fill out the spaces between it and my skin. I also noticed that the color of this primer can cause the shade of some shadows to appear slightly different even though they still appear quite pigmented. This seemed especially true with shadows that have a metallic finish like the swatch above.

With this product a little goes a long way and using less actually produces better results. The best thing about this primer is that it helps keep my eye shadow intact and looking fresh the entire day and no matter how tired I feel my eye makeup looks good.

For more information on this primer click HERE It retails for $24

Syrc Style Handbags: Earrings Review

Today I am going to bring you another review from Syrc StyleHandbags Jewelry selection. As I said in my last post Syrc Style Handbags sells designer inspired bags as well as jewelry on their website, and monogrammed personalized pieces at their etsy store.

I recently received this pair of earrings from Syrc Style and what stood out to me the most was how different and unique they are compared to anything I have in my collection. I tend to purchase the same type or style of jewelry repeatedly but this time I wanted something that was a bit more funky and fun.
These earrings are rather eclectic in that they encompass many different parts and colors. The longest chain is gold colored embedded with small pearls while the shorter chain is more of a rose gold and the links are thicker. The top parts of the earrings have different colored beads in different shapes and to me they look a bit retro and vintage, similar to a style you may have seen in the 80’s.

These earrings are not really for everyday wear but if you are going out to a party, concert or club and you want a statement piece that stands out and has an aura all of its own then these are great. If you prefer something simpler then Syrc Style also offers elegant more subdued pieces as well.
These earrings are quite large and they are a bit heavy but I don’t mind the weight of them for short periods of time.

After I published this post I got a few requests to post a photo of me wearing these earrings so here it is.

Red Apple Lipstick Review

Today I am going to review some of my new favorite lipsticks from Red Apple. If you haven’t yet seen these lipsticks circling the web, Red Apple is a company that specializes in chemical free, safe lip products as well as lip gloss, lip pencils, balms, eye shadow, exfoliates and more!

What makes Red Apple so different is that the company strives to offer everything you could ever want in a lipstick. Their lipsticks are “ safe, smooth, moisturizing, buildable and blendable” instead of thick and waxy. I love lipsticks that have great all in one formulas so that I can achieve amazing color while still having soft supple lips even during the winter.

Another very unique thing about these lipsticks is that the company makes them in small batches instead of mass production so that when they are delivered to you they are fresh and new! You can also blend different shades together to create your own unique custom shades!

Benefits of Red Apple Lipstick:
*All natural
*Gluten free
*Cruelty free
*Vegan
*Allergen free
*Paraben free
*Petroleum free
*Contains vitamin E
*Improves the health of your lips
 * Free of harmful ingredients
* Free of synthetic fragrance
*Lead free

Packaging:
The packaging of these lip products is simple yet chic. I like the design and the names of each lipstick is located at the bottom of the tube.

The lipsticks come in a wide variety of beautiful shades from lighter hues to dark rich colors. They also have different finishes, some shades contain shimmer while others do not. The photos of the lipsticks on the website are a pretty good representation of the actual colors and I like that applying a color sheer or heavy can result in a different finish and look.
Satisfaction Guarantee:
Red Apple has so much confidence in their lipsticks that they let you try them out for 6 months after your purchase and if you are not satisfied for any reason they will issue an exchange or refund; although I doubt you will want to return these gorgeous lipsticks, in fact you may become a little addicted to them like I am!

Shipping:
Shipping was fast even during the holiday season and the lipsticks came in a cute drawstring eco friendly bag.

The first lipstick I am going to review is called Hibiskiss which is a best seller on the website. It says that the color is a “vibrant true raspberry” and it is a very beautiful pink berry tone. It retails for $23.50

Hibiskiss is a great shade for all skin tones and it is suitable for every season. I love the formula! It glides over the lips very smoothly and it is rich, highly pigmented, creamy and velvety. I also like that this color is glitter free and it isn't glossy looking. The formula is very comfortable to wear because it is non-drying and quite moisturizing. I like that after application is stays in place and it contains 100% cold pressed sunflower, shea butter and vitamin E.

This next lipstick is called Coral Crush. Coral has been a very trendy color for the last few summers and I like wearing this shade all year long. (Retail price $23.50)

This shade is a true coral, encompassing a beautiful combination of pink and orange, it is also the most requested color the company has created and now I know why. I love how this color looks on my skin tone and I like that the formula is also soft, smooth and shimmer free with a bit of a sheen finish. This coral can work well for many people because the orange is not very harsh or bright and it contains a slight coppery layer that makes it easy to pull off.

The last lipstick I am going to review is my favorite color called Rebel. I am drawn to rich bold shades so for me this was an obvious choice.

This red is blue based which can help make your smile appear whiter. I like that this red is warm and not too harsh. It is also shimmer and shine free and quite long lasting.

This lipstick contains shea butter, jojoba seed oil and avocado oil which is probably why it is provides a wonderful amount of hydration. All of these lipsticks are great for winter because they help keep dry chapped lips in check while still providing a great color payoff.

Swatches
Here are photos of the swatches

I love these lipsticks! I can see why the company is so confident in their products because these formulas are amazing! They glide over the lips in a buttery soft way and the colors are highly pigmented, easy to apply and gorgeous. If you suffer from dry lips or have adverse reactions to many of the cosmetic lines out there then these products may be great for you.

In the past I have purchased lipsticks from well known brands for around the same price range and I have to say that these lipsticks are better than many of those. After trying them I want to place an order for more! The website also offers package deals so you can get a group of lipsticks at a reduced price.

You can find more information on the website at: Red Apple Lipstick

Juara Skin Care Review

Today I am going to review some wonderful skin products that I have been using from Juara Skin Care. If you need some great products specific to your skin’s condition that contain natural ingredients and are inspired by ancient skin care secrets then this is definitely a line you should take notice of.

About Juara
Juara is a unique skin care line that uses the principals, secrets and herbal traditions of the Indonesian archipelago for treating specific skin and health issues. The ancient herbal principals infused in these products have been used for centuries! Juara’s products combines the best natural ingredients from the East with modern science from the West to create safe, nourishing products that “restore and enhance the skin’s natural balance.” If you can’t visit a pampering spa in Bali Juara offers similar beneficial skin care delivered right to your door!
Juara's products are also:
*100% vegetarian
*Free of artificial color
*Sulfate free
*Cruelty free

Personalized skin care
What I like about Juara’s philosophy is that they are a health conscious company that believes in nurturing the body and skin from the inside out with proper diet and great products. I also like that they have products that are tailored to a wide variety of skin types and ailments. Before receiving these products I explained my skin’s specific needs to the Juara professionals and they recommended the perfect products for me.

I also really like the packaging of these products, they look exotic while still being quite feminine.

Candlenut Body Creme
I love using body butters during the harsh winters here in Canada and I have been using this luxurious body creme every night!

This creme encompasses the nourishing benefits of candlenut oil, known for its essential fatty acids which are beneficial for treating rough dry skin and has been used for centuries in Indonesia. It also contains: carrot seed oil, avocado oil, bran oil, shorea stenoptera oil (which is a plant indigenous to Indonesia and Malaysia). I think of this creme as a rich luxurious body butter.

The first thing I noticed about this creme was the aromatic scent, it smells absolutely divine! I cannot  get enough of this scent and it makes my skin smell wonderful! The creme smells nutty, fragrant and sweet. It is a scent I want to bottle and infuse into every beauty product I own!

I apply this creme after a warm shower and the formula is thick, rich and creamy. It blends into the skin and absorbs effortlessly. It is non-greasy and does not leave any residue or stickiness on the skin which makes it suitable for use during the summer as well. My skin feels soft and velvety when I use this creme and it helps me stay moisturized and supple all day! It is also paraben free.

You can find this body creme on the website by clicking HERE,  it retails for  $35 and the tub contains 7.50 oz/213g
Sweet Black Tea & Ginger Moisturizer
This moisturizer comes in a pump bottle and the texture is very light, and airy. I apply this product to clean dry skin and massage it into my face. The gel/cream formula distributes and spreads over the skin very well and a little goes a long way, you only need to use a dime size amount to get good coverage.

The moisturizer contains black tea which is a component used for its tightening and anti-aging benefits. Black tea contains antioxidants and “helps minimize lines and imperfections while enhancing skin’s luster.” Ginger helps promote circulation, reduces puffiness and shine. “Ginger has been used in Indonesia for its purifying benefits, to rid the pores of impurities and debris.”

The company tailored this product to my skin’s needs because I usually get a tad oily as the day wears on, especially while wearing makeup. The moisturizer is oil free and suited for oily or combination skin. It is designed to “immediately reduce shine while helping to delay the signs of aging.” I really like the texture and the instant cooling sensation.

This product dries matte and it absorbs quickly leaving behind no wetness or residue. It actually helps prime my face for makeup application because it smooths out the texture of my skin and it also contains the benefits of cinnamon.

You can find more information about this product by clicking HERE  It retails for $49

Avocado Banana Moisture Mask
I am a big fan of avocado for the health of my skin and body. Avocados are rich in beneficial fats and oils that make skin feel very soft. Avocados also help “strengthen the skin’s ability to retain moisture and defend against environmental factors.” I use fresh avocado on my face and avocado oil is my favorite to use on my hair so I am thrilled that Juara uses it in their face mask. Bananas help “hydrate and smooth the skin” and is another natural ingredient in this mask.

The face mask is suitable for all skin types and is fragrance and paraben free. It is creamy and smells very good, it also has a light avocado like green tinge.

You apply this mask over cleansed skin for 10-15 minutes a session and then moisten the face and wipe off with a damp tissue. You can use this mask 2-3 times a week but I only use it once at the end of the week to replenish my skin.

When applying this mask it feels cool and refreshing, the green tinge seems to dissipate the longer I have it on. After I rinse it off, my skin looks fresh, feels very smooth, hydrated and soft. I did find that it took a bit of effort to rinse away all traces of the mask because it is so creamy.

I usually use the facial masks from the drug store but this mask by Juara is definitely one of my new favorites because it revives and renews the skin. I really like that this mask does not get dry, flaky and hard; I can barely tell that it is on my skin when I use it! It also doesn't make my skin feel tight, itchy or irritated like other masks I have.
