Amie Skin Care Review

I love discovering great natural skin care products and today I have news of an exciting launch here in Canada exclusively at Shoppers Drug Mart. I have been testing this line and so far it has been working well for my skin. I usually begin with the Radiant Dawn Exfoliating Daily Facial Wash. This cleanser is free of oils, sulfates and harsh soap and is gentle enough for everyday use. It has a light gel consistency and is infused with green apple, lemon and exfoliating blueberry seeds to remove dirt and makeup.

I like the sweet, slightly floral aroma and although it does not foam into a rich later it does suds up slightly and leave my skin feeling very fresh and clean. It also works well with my Clarisonic device and the exfoliating seeds are not harsh on skin. Although I do need to follow up with a moisturizer my face does not feel uncomfortably dry or tight after use, the wash retails for $10.00.

After cleansing I treat my skin to the Spring Clean Deep Cleansing Mask. This pampering mask provides deep pore cleansing in just ten minutes and is formulated to draw out impurities, prevent blemishes and soak up excess oil. The peppermint and lime extracts are very invigorating and refreshing; the menthol provides a cool, tingling sensation and leaves my skin smooth and rejuvenated. The mask retails for $12.00.

Amie offers two types of moisturizers which is great for a variety of skin types and for people who have combination skin like me. The Morning Dew Matte-Finish Moisturizer controls oiliness and shine while hydrating and softening. I love the sweet scent and for those with oily skin it offers a matte, non-greasy formula that works well under makeup. This cream is infused with rosehip, bilberry and vitamin E and leaves behind no residue! It retails for $12.00

For those who need more moisture, especially during the cooler months the Morning Light Hydrating Daily Moisturizer keeps skin soft, smooth and nourished with rose extract, rosehip seed oil and mallow. This cream provides wonderful hydration for a dewy supple effect and takes care of dry spots in a snap. It retails for $12.00.

Overall I really liked this line, the scents were wonderful and the creams contain no parabens, mineral oil or animal extracts so they are suitable for vegans and vegetarians. Each product contains at least 95% natural ingredients and the collection also offers toner, eye makeup remover and cleansing wipes.
