This season there are many trendy products and accessories
for hands like bright nail lacquers and stacked rings so I like to keep mine in tip-top shape. Mary Kay has launched a limited edition
Honeydew Pampering Satin Hand Set which includes: the Honeydew Smoothie
Hand Scrub, Honeydew Hand Cream and the fragrance-free Hand Softener.
All the products in this collection have a lovely, natural melon scent which is fresh,
light and deliciously sweet. They work together to improve the
texture of skin for beautiful looking hands. I usually begin with the Honeydew Satin
Smoothie Scrub which has a creamy formula infused with just the right amount of tiny exfoliating beads.
To use: simply rub the smoothie into hands and between
fingers, rinse and pat dry. The abrasive intensity can be controlled by how hard you rub your hands, I
recommend exfoliating gently and not rubbing for too long to prevent soreness. This product is not a hand wash and is not meant to replace soap but I would probably get more use out of it if it was.
The formula contains jojoba and removes dead skin cells to reveal soft, supple, renewed hands. I believe in getting the most out of my
beauty products and since owning an exfoliate just for hands seems a bit unusual to me I also use this smoothie on my legs, arms and feet which works well.
Satin Hands Honeydew Hand Cream
The hand cream feels great after an exfoliating session and
smells wonderful! I like that it absorbs quickly and is not greasy or sticky.
It is also provides long-lasting hydration and is formulated to hold up after a few
handwashings. The cream makes my hands feel soft and effectively eliminates dryness although the texture is a bit thin.
Satin Hands Fragrance-Free Hand Softener
The above two products are really all I need to care for my
hands but the Hand Softener is ideal for very
dry, rough skin or those who prefer a heavier product. The Softener has a thick,
oily, balm consistency that feels and looks similar to Vaseline. The texture makes it a bit difficult to squeeze out of the tube and the consistency is not idea for other areas of the body like the legs arms and torso but it is great for dry spot treatments.
Because this product contains mineral oil and petroleum it does leave behind a heavy greasy film that tends to
transfer but I think it would work great for those suffering from dry,
cracked heels.
Overall this kit is decent for hands and feet and although I would have liked to see more natural ingredients it does make a nice gift package for both men and women.
The Satin Hands Kit retails for $51.00 and you can find it

Honeydew sounds great, I love that smell! I heard so much about Mary Kay products but never tried them. Think I should try finding an consultant :-)

My roommate in college sold Mary Kay and I bought the Satin Hands set from her and loved it!! I didn't even know they were still making this! :) Of course, I just had the boring, unscented kind...It's nice that there's options now.
