Nude lipsticks are a great option when you are in the mood for
a naturally soft look but if you have trouble finding the perfect nude for your
skin tone L’Oreal
has you covered.
The new Collection Privée includes 6 nude lipsticks inspired by the brand's beautiful ambassadors: Eva Longoria, Frieda Pinto, Julianne Moore, Doutzen Kroes, Jennifer Lopez and Liya Kebede. Like all women these beauties have unique complexions and have contributed to designing this exclusive collection that incorporates shades to suit women of all ethnicities.
If you visit L’Oreal’s
website (by clicking-HERE) you can
take a quick questionnaire to determine your ideal nude match from: light,
medium dark and everything in-between! I took the test and my results corresponded to Frieda’s nude which
contains a lavender nuance for emphasizing amber complexions. After swatching
the colors I think my skin tone is best suited to Eva or Jennifer’s
nude lipsticks but the entire collection is lovely and all of the shades are very wearable.
The packaging is sophisticated and elegant with soft black
tubes embellished with gold trim and the formula smells sweet,
feminine and floral. Some of the shades are embedded with subtle glitter while
others have solid pigmentation throughout. All of the lipsticks have a soft,
buttery texture that glides on effortlessly for a satiny-smooth, slightly shiny finish. The lipsticks are light, comfortable and keep lips hydrated for an alluring, luscious effect.
Freda’s Nude- Barley Parma: is fresh and sophisticated, the formula contains hints of pretty glitter for luminous lips.
Julianne’s Nude- Barely Peach: enhances pale complexions.
Doutzen’s Nude- melts into any complexion for a soft pink pout.
Liya’s Nude- Barely Brown: enhances dark complexions with a lovely copper hue.
Eva’s Nude- with a touch of gold compliments matte skin.
Each lipstick retails for about $10.99 CAN / $8.99 US and since nude hues are trendy for all seasons I definitely recommend checking these out at your local drug store. You can also view the collection online HERE.
Some of the polishes are not exactly nude shades but they do have a creamy consistency and appear very subtle. I did find that some colors were more opaque than others but overall the formula is good and quite easy to work with.

I got my Jennifer's Nude and really enjoying it. The store I went to didn't have all of them and now that I have seen your swatches, think I need Eva's as well. I love the packaging as well, so chic.
ReplyDeleteThese look so pretty and luxurious! I definitely need one of these in my handbag :)

I really like the look of Eva's Nude. I've been looking for these online, but they didn't have Eva's which makes me sad cause I really want it, lol!
ReplyDeleteI love the middle three shades, if I were to get one I would choose Eva's Nude, lipsticks that are too pale don't look good on me so I need a little bit of color even if it's a nude lipstick :D
