Every summer I spruce-up my wardrobe and donate the clothes I no longer wear. I also look for trendy new accessories to compliment my outfits and this year I found some cute pieces!

While browsing the shops on Clifton Hill in Niagara Falls Canada this summer, I picked up these beautiful Native Indian style earrings - fashioned after Dream Catchers. The turquoise stones and multicolored, woven fabric looks stunning against the skin. I also like that they aren't identical.

The Mark Street Party Bangle ($28.00) caught my eye because of its unique design. The gold colored cuff is thick and beautifully embellished with delicate, royal blue fabric entwined with sparking glass stones. The eye-catching chains that dangle from the wrist give this piece an edgy look which contrasts nicely with the glittering jewels.

The Leaf You Alone 3 Piece Set ($19.00) from Avon comes with an antique gold tone necklace, bracelet and matching earrings. I love how intricate and feminine the bracelet looks on the wrist and the necklace comes with an extender if you’d like more length.

The Enchanting Tear Drop Bracelet ($14.99) is available in gold and silver but they look even more glamorous together and the pretty stones shimmer radiantly in the light.

Fabulous Fashion Finds from Avon

Gone are the days of raiding the mall every weekend and leaving with a backseat brimming with new stuff. Don’t get me wrong, I love putting together a cute new outfit and there is nothing more delightful than finding a gorgeous designer purse on sale, but recently the mall scene just hasn’t been my thing. Battling for a parking space and dealing with pushy crowds can be downright stressful, which is why many of us now choose to scout for deals online.

Since summer is upon us and I have a few exciting press trips planned, I decided to spruce up my wardrobe with some new accessories. A cute bag, eye-catching statement jewelry or trendy shoes can put a fun new spin on an old outfit.

I’m all about the bag and if you peek inside my closet you’d see a mountain of purses touching the ceiling. Since I already have a decent collection of everyday totes that are large enough to store all my essentials, I was on the hunt for something smaller, trendy and functional. The website has a lot to choose from in terms of design. You can get lovely necklaces with full names written out in pretty script, letters monogrammed onto trendy gold or silver pieces and customized bracelets and rings.

The piece that I received was made specially for me, it is a simple yet chic silver initial pendant with a detached emerald Swarovski crystal. I love the necklace that the pendant is on, it is delicate and very pretty. I think the chain will also match well with other pendants I have in my collection or it can be worn alone which makes it quite versatile. This pendant looks appealing against the skin and most fabrics.

Emerald is always a hot color for fall and Christmas and the crystal adds a touch of color and elegance to dress up the simplicity of the pendant. The crystal also comes in Amethyst, Aquamarine and clear crystal. I think this particular piece works well for ladies of all ages and even though the chain is quite dainty is it still durable enough and pretty good quality. I can wear this necklace casually and also for more  formal occasions.

I think this piece looks very pretty in nice lighting but I did find that the pendant was prone to finger print marks. I would also have liked it if the E was engraved on both sides so that if the pendant flips over I could still see the initial; but over all this is a very wearable necklace.

The box  is very cute so you don't even have to wrap it!
