NEW Soap & Glory Call of Fruity Body Care Range

During this terrible pandemic self-care has become more important than ever. Tension is high, the economy is in trouble and people are scared to leave home.

If you’ve been stressed, bored or anxious lately, take a minute to breath, relax and unplug. Turn off the television, stay off social media and tune out negative news. It is time for positive vibes uplifting thoughts and self reflection.

I like to unwind by pampering myself with great products and Soap & Glory’s new skincare range is tropical, fruity and exotic. This is the best line the brand has ever created! The ingredients are amazing (as usual) but they left out their signature fragrance which is very perfumey.

I usually start my spa day with a high intensity cardio workout to improve my mood, expel toxins and promote better sleep. Yoga and meditation also ease tension.

When my muscles are loose and relaxed, I hop in a hot steamy shower and lather up with the Bubble in Paradise Refreshing Body Wash ($16.00). This fragrant formula is loaded with juicy mango, papaya and mandarin extract to cleanse your troubles away. Drizzle some on your bath puff and let the rich lather eliminate sweat, dirt and impurities until you feel revitalized.

Soap & Glory body scrubs are my secret to smooth silky legs (I always keep a jar in my shower). Summer Scrubbin’ ($18.00) buffs away rough, dry, flaky skin with pink jojoba exfoliator balls and natural coconut shell powder. From the neck down you can pretty much apply it anywhere (excluding private/sensitive areas) and rub away until your body is soft, supple and renewed.

I feel incredible after a hot shower and while my skin is slightly damp, I apply generous layers of body cream. The Way She Smoothes Softening Lotion ($16.00) is loaded with hydrating mango seed butter, coconut, sweet almond oil, papaya, passion fruit, algae extract and vitamin E to smooth and deeply nourish. It smells like a delicious bowl of tropical fruit and absorbs quickly with no residue.

It is still a bit chilly here in Toronto so I’ve also been using the No Woman No Dry Body Butter ($18.00). The rich, indulgent formula intensely moisturizes and alleviates dry itchy skin with a blend of coconut oil, passion fruit, aloe, vitamins, cocoa seed butter, mango and papaya. I love the juicy cantaloupe, hibiscus and cedar wood fragrance and the lush texture leaves skin velvety-soft all day long.

We’ve all been hand-washing more frequently and using lots of sanitzer so you probably need a tube of Hand Food ($10.00). This lightweight cream is infused with marshmallow extract, macadamia oil and shea butter to heal rough skin, ragged cuticles and brittle nails. It also works wonders on dry feet.

Soap & Glory Summer 2019 Bath & Body Collection

Over the years I’ve tried many scrumptious products from Soap & Glory and the brand's most distinctive characteristic is the sweet scent they refer to as “pink.” If you want to smell incredible all day without dousing yourself in perfume, this collection might be what you’re looking for.

The range includes a variety of wonderful scrubs, lotions, butters and shower gels infused with moisturizing extracts and luscious oils. If you are sensitive to heavy fragrance, make sure to sniff everything before purchasing. The perfume is quite overpowering and the scent may linger for hours.

Clean On Me Clarifying Shower Gel ($14.00) is infused with mandarin extract and built-in lotion to give you smooth, sexy skin whenever you want it. The fun, feminine fragrance makes the entire bathroom smell amazing and the rich lather rinses away dirt, oil, pollutants and sweat without causing dryness.

Before I hop out of the shower, I like to scrub until my entire body feels silky. Flake Away ($18.00) is packed with shea butter, sugar and apricot seeds to polish dry patches, slough away roughness and moisturize.

If you're short on time, Scrub Of Your Life ($16.00) cleanses and exfoliates in one simple step. The invigorating formula smooths bumpy areas while eliminating impurities so skin feels soft and renewed.

When you feel clean and rejuvenated, slather on the righteous Body Butter ($18.00) for a velvety finish. The aroma is strong but the formula is light, hydrating and non-greasy so you can use it in the summer without feeling sweaty. S & G recommends applying a “generous handful” on damp skin so the shea and aloe absorbs deeply.

When you want to show-off your mani or pedi without embarrassment, Heel Genius ($16.00) and Hand Food ($10.00) has your back. The hand cream has a supple blend of shea, macadamia and marshmallow to treat damaged nails and ragged cuticles without residue.

Foot cream is a must during sandal season and this one is enriched with fruit acids, oils and menthol to alleviate soreness, gently exfoliate and heal cracked, ashy heels.

Soap & Glory 2018 Bath & Body Collection

If you want to smell amazing this summer check out the Soap & Glory skincare at Shoppers Drug Mart. This colorful collection in vintage-style packaging makes bath time much more enjoyable with a variety of fun, uplifting scents.

Start with the Rich & Famous Dual Body Wash ($14.00) that smells like sugared almonds. The formula contains a delectable blend of raw flower honey, almond milk, oat and skin softening conditioners that boost moisture. “This is not your average bubble stuff,” the suds are fluffy, creamy and abundant for total rejuvenation. Use it as bubble bath to soak your troubles away or lather it up on your bath puff to abolish dirt, oil and impurities.

The new Fizz-A-Ball Bath Bombs ($7.00 each) are bursting with yummy fragrance like rose and bergamot, vanilla musk and sweet lime zest. Simply drop one into a warm bubble bath and jump in after it. I like to grab a glass of wine and relax as the water shimmers and fizzes around me. The scent is so strong that I can leave the bombs on my counter (that doesn’t sound right) to make the entire room smell amazing!

These products all have a very strong fragrance that lingers on the skin like perfume which is why I adore them. If you have sensitive skin I suggest doing a patch test before dousing yourself head-to-toe in body wash and cream (just in case). The Righteous Butter Body Lotion ($16.00) is similar to the brand's bestselling body butter but the formula is lightweight and non-greasy for fast absorption (perfect for summer). Soften, smooth and chase the flakes away with a nourishing blend of shea butter, almond oil, aloe vera, glycerine, rosehip seed and Vitamin E for 24 hours of silky hydration.

Soap & Glory Skincare Review – Bath, Bubbles and Beauty

To quote Game of Thrones – “winter is coming” and with fall in full-swing it may be time to change your skincare routine. Soap & Glory has been dedicated to creating pampering body products infused with indulgent scents and potent conditioners since 2006 and today I’m sharing some mouth-watering essentials to make your season completely gorgeous!

If key lime pie and whipped cream had a baby it would smell like the Sugar Crush Body Lotion ($16.00). Aside from refreshing scents of delicious citrus, the formula is enriched with skin conditioning oils like sweet almond, coconut and grape seed combined with shea and cocoa butter. The smooth consistency envelops the body in lavish layers of moisture and absorbs quickly with no greasy residue. Skin feels supple, silky and healthy with a lovely aroma.

Speaking of wonderful scents, the body sprays retail for just $10.00 and slip in your handbag to keep you fresh and cool anytime, anyplace. Smoothie Star is composed of almond, rich vanilla and dreamy sandalwood that may induce hunger-pangs. To me it smells like baked goods and candy but don’t worry about over-indulging, the scent tends to fade into a mellow sweetness.

The award winning Smoothie Star Breakfast Scrub ($18.00) might make your tummy rubble but try not to eat it. This is the stuff dreams are made of, it smells like waffles, warm maple syrup, brown sugar and cookies... I have my nose stuck in the jar right now. The formula is thick, super hydrating and infused with shea butter, almond oil, banana, honey extract and a blend of oats, sugar and sea salt to buff-away dead cells and leave skin soft, polished and totally rejuvenated. Use it in the shower to treat dry elbows, knees and feet and emerge feeling amazing.

The Fab Pore Moisture Lotion ($23.00) is a circulation boosting, organic ginseng blend formulated to increase oxygen to the skin, shrink pores, tone, brighten and mattify. It also has a built-in astringent to help prevent breakouts and excess oil production. If you have greasy, problem skin, this is a great layer of defense under makeup and it leaves my face incredibly soft and velvety.

The Sexy Mother Pucker Lip Plumping Gloss ($14.00) boosts micro-circulation to volumize your pout on contact. Admittedly I am not a fan or plumping products because I don’t like the sensation but for the purpose of this review I did test it out (you’re welcome). After a few seconds I felt tingly vibrations across the surface of my lips – not painful but not very pleasant either (although some people may like it). On the bright side, the gloss does work and eventually the sting wears off. My lips were definitely more voluptuous, moisturized and totally Instagram worthy with a nice sparkle and luminous shine.

When it comes to cleansing and makeup removal, the Fab Pore T-Zone Cloths ($10.00) have your back. Infused with anti-blackhead ingredients, brightening citrus and salicylic acid to prevent acne – they lift away dirt, oil and impurities while gently exfoliating.

The Soap & Glory Wait On Hand & Foot Set ($12.00) makes a cute gift or stocking stuffer and both formulas have a blend of natural oils and butters to prevent dry, flaky skin from getting the best of you this season. The creams are portable, non-greasy and wonderfully fragranced.
