Shopping for your bestie can be challenging so Too Faced has created a selection of cute palettes and trendy gift sets your friends are sure to love!

These bite-size compacts are bursting with delicious aromas and shimmering colors that look stunning on all complexions. The packaging is totally adorable and perfect for jet-setting.

Sugar Cookie ($26.00) includes 8 yummy shades ranging from cool coco brown, soft mauve, glistening bronze, golden taupe and smokey plum. The pigments are smooth, silky and easy to apply with buildable coverage and rich color payoff. I can't get enough of the sweet cookie fragrance and there is enough variety to transition your look from day to night. For those with sensitive skin, the cruelty-free shadows are formulated without parabens or gluten.

Tickled Peach ($26.00) is a bit more glamorous with chocolatey brown, brilliant coral, radiant gold and bold purple. The shadows smells like a basket of juicy peaches and the velvety texture blends effortlessly with minimal fallout and no fading. For quick looks on-the-go, this purse-sized beauty does not disappoint and it is perfect for date night or holiday parties.

Too Faced Razzle Dazzle Berry Eye Shadow Palette Review | Tutti Frutti Collection

No matter what your style or color preference, berry shades look good on everyone. With the holiday season in full-swing it’s time to go glam with brilliant shimmer and vivid pigments that make a bold statement.

The Too Faced Razzle Dazzle Berry Palette ($42.00) smells as good as it looks with a mouth-watering fruit fragrance and seven irresistible shades. The packaging is gorgeous and the shadows range from matte, metallic and satin for eye-catching contrast.

Once you see how stunning these colors look you will probably want to wear them every day. The texture is smooth and velvety for easy application, buildable coverage and fantastic saturation with no creasing, flaking or fading. I expected the shimmers to be messy but they apply neatly with very little scatter and a radiant finish. I love how the matte berry compliments the vibrant garnet and the blackened navy has a dusting of multi-colored glitter that dances in the light. Everything about this palette is wonderful!

Razzle Dazzle Eye Shadow and Gingerbread Man Lipstick

The Pineapple Paradise Strobing Bronzer ($30.00) provides a golden glow that illuminates the face and décolletage. The powder isn’t’ smooth or creamy but it does apply consistently with no chunky glitter. The pretty highlighter is universal but the bronzer lacks intensity and blends into my skin without accentuating or defining.

I was unable to get my hands on the Too Faced Gingerbread Palette (sorry ladies, it sold-out in the blink of an eye) but I did receive the Gingerbread Man Liquefied Matte Lipstick ($21.00) and it was love at first swatch! The formula is rich, highly pigmented and scrumptious (seriously, I can’t stop smelling it). It reminds me of chocolate liquor with a splash of Baileys Irish Cream – sweet and decadent. The creamy color is also enriched with avocado oil, vitamin E and hyaluronic filling spheres for plumpness, hydration and comfort. I love the mixture of spiced red and deep orange, the undertone is quite unique.

Too Faced Life’s a Festival Collection - Review & Swatches

I don’t know what it is with girls and unicorns but the obsession is real! Admittedly I did have a My Little Pony as a kid and I just started watching a new show about mermaids so I guess our love of cute things inspired this mythical new makeup. The Life’s a Festival Collection is a whimsical range of glitter, rainbows, fairies and fantasy – pretty much all your childhood dreams rolled into one. There are some unusual pigments in this line but the shadows, Lip Toppers and highlighters are quite magical.

Let’s start with my favorite – the Life’s a Festival Eye Shadow Palette ($42.00). The packaging reminds me of my childhood bedroom – girly and adorable.

Inside there is an ethereal variety of duo chromatic pigments including creamy mattes and fun pearlescent pops. You can mix and match these beauties to create interesting combinations and the formula is impressive – smooth, velvety and buildable with intense color payoff. The scent isn’t as delicious as some of my other Too Faced products but the deep berry hue called Funtasy is enough to convince me that I need this palette in my life. Mystic Rain is also another shocker because it looks like shimmery pink but applies as a multidimensional bluish green silver that perfectly captures the mermaid vibe.

This rainbow has a lot of goodness within – bright corals, radiant green, vibrant teal and a highlighter called Unicorn Tears - you can't go wrong.

The Festival Refresh Spray ($24.00) cools you down on warm days and prolongs the wear of makeup. The blue fluid contains opalescent pearls for sparkling illumination but remember to shake well as the pigment tends to settle at the bottom. The glitter particles randomly disperse over your face but they aren't very noticeable so you won't look like a disco ball. The spray also refines pores, controls oil and helps improve skin texture with a sweet scent.

The Rainbow Strobe Highlighter ($30.00) contains multi-colored strips of shimmer to help you spice-up your look.

There is a lot of glitter in this compact and the particles tend to scatter messily if you blend too much. Use fluid strokes for a better finish.

If you’re looking for something easier to apply, the Unicorn Tears Bronzer ($30.00) is an excellent choice. This is a great shade for medium to deep skin tones, especially if you crave a sunkissed glow. The silky powder enhances radiance with a natural sheen and the moonlight highlighter in the middle adds a starlight effect for more drama. Mix them together or wear each shade on its own.

Bottle of Unicorn Tears ($30.00) is a liquid highlighter with a twinkling effect. Shake well and apply to the high points of your face for a blast of sparkle. The watery formula can be messy so try to contain the blending to one area for better consistency and if you’re really brave, mix some into your foundation. Once dry, the flecks stay put relatively well but the process is a bit tedious.

The Unicorn Horn Highlighting Stick ($28.00) is more precise and the creamy texture glides on evenly for a luminous finish. I was a bit weirded-out when I saw the blue but on the skin it transforms into a holographic wash of pink-purple shimmer (very pretty). Unicorn Dreams is a stunning rose gold that looks great on all skin tones and the saturated sheen provides a glamorous finish that can go from natural to intense. I am not usually a fan of cream sticks but these are fabulous!

Now that we’ve talked about getting our glow on, let’s move onto the lips. The La Creme Mystical Lipsticks ($22.00 ea) are very unique! I was a bit confused when I saw some of the shades because no one looks good in white lipstick but the colors are not what they appear to be. Those shocking butter cream hues transform into shimmery gold and pink with a lovely sheer finish. Dab them in the center of your pout or on top of lipstick for a gorgeous two-tone highlight. The deep navy (Mermaid Tears) is actually a radiant purple with flashes of pink and blue glitter while Unicorn Tears is exactly what it looks like – bright powder puff blue. The rich formula is infused with Lotus Flower Extract for cushiony comfort and long-lasting hydration.

The Magic Crystal Lip Topper ($19.00) is a holographic gloss that changes color and glistens radiantly when light shifts. The supple texture is smooth and comfortable with no chunks or stickiness and the rainbow formula amps-up your pout with metallic brilliance – perfect for parties, festivals and concerts.

The Melted Latex Liquid Lipstick in Unicorn Tears ($21.00) must be popular because it is currently sold-out on the website. This juicy lacquer bursts with intense shine and the bluish- grey hue is infused with bright blue sparkle. This isn’t really an everyday shade but it might look good over a deep matte blue or navy lipstick.

Too Faced Glitter Pop! Peel-Off Eyeliner Review

Spring showers have brought warmer temperatures and the onset of summer! Here in Toronto we only have a few short months to enjoy the season and I plan on taking full advantage. An easy way to glam-up your makeup for an evening out is by adding a touch of brilliant sparkle and the Too Faced Glitter Pop Liners are easy to use, multidimensional and dazzling!

The liners are available in a variety of fun shades with multi-color shimmer that makes your eyes stand out. To apply the glitter, thoroughly coat the brush and apply 3-4 layers in short feathery strokes to create a solid line.

An easier method is to start with pencil or liquid liner and go over the line with glitter until you've intensified the color.

You can also layer the glitter over eye shadow for a dramatic finish. Once dry, the liner stays put all day until you are ready to peel it off and it removes easily with no scatter or fallout.

My favorite shades are Kitty Glitter (pink with blue and silver) and Lucky Bitch (radiant gold) but you can always mix and match to create your own cool effects.

The Liners retail for $20.00 each and Too Faced is available at Sephora and online at toofaced.com.

Too Faced Chocolate Gold Collection Review

Like most women I love chocolate and gold has been my go-to shade since I started wearing makeup so naturally I needed this collection. The Chocolate Gold Palette ($49.99) is the star of the show featuring dramatic shades that will inspire you to create magnificent looks and strut around like a total diva. For even more glam, the shimmery loose pigment, warm bronzer and Liquefied Gold Gloss will make you gleam like a queen.

I always talk about how scrumptious Too Faced products smell and this gorgeous palette is extra cocoa-y (your stomach may rumble with cravings but your eyes will look sexy). The color scheme is right up my alley featuring a variety of gold tones, bright pink, deep purple, icy blue, sparkling green, silver and more. The shadows are extremely vivid, ranging from shimmer to metallic with amped-up radiance but there are a few neutral mattes for crease definition, highlighting and blending.

The packaging is flashy and decadent with melted gold drizzled over a chocolate bar. Too Faced is known to dazzle us with prettiness and this palette makes your vanity look so much cooler.

The shadows have a rich, velvety texture for smooth application, easy blending and fantastic saturation. You can layer to enhance the intensity but the colors are highly pigmented, long-lasting and flattering on all skin tones. The formula is infused with real gold to create a high-shine, foiled finish that enhances the eyes with lustrous sparkle. Like most of my Too Faced palettes, the quality is top-notch and I have no problem with creasing or fading.

I wore the vivid pink to a recent media event and everyone loved it! The vibrant colors add pizzazz to your everyday looks and I’m not afraid to rock these shades anytime, anywhere. With a little crease sculpting you can pull these off day or night and gold is an elegant hue that never goes out of style.

The Pure Gold Loose Glitter ($17.00) gives you that Goddess glow from head-to-toe. It is also infused with real gold and can be used on the face and body. I have a love-hate relationship with glitter because it looks amazing but gets everywhere! This sparkly dust isn’t so bad, you can contain the particles by using fluid application strokes to attain concentrated highlight. Use a lot and you will gleam like the sun but make sure to layer over primer to prevent transfer and scatter (it doesn’t adhere very well otherwise).

The Best Selling Chocolate Matte Soleil Bronzer ($30.00) smells delicious and provides a medium tan with buildable color.

There are a few different bronzers in this collection including a dark matte finish and a gold shimmer powder which is more my style. This shade is too light for my skin tone but the texture is smooth and silky.

The Melted Gold Liquefied Lip gloss ($21.00) reminds me of Midas – everything it touches turns to gold! This ultra shimmery, high impact color drenches lips in layers of glittering shine. The formula is supple, highly pigmented and hydrating with smooth, comfortable glitter and no streaking. The effect is eye-catching but a tad eccentric for everyday wear. I’m saving it for a fun party or glitzy event where it is perfectly acceptable to dip your lips in gold.

Too Faced White Peach Eye Shadow Palette Review

The Too Faced Peach Collection has been a favorite ever since the first fruity palette created a buzz in the beauty community and sold-out everywhere. One of the most recent additions is the White Peach Palette ($45.00) which features a beautiful array of shimmer, glitter and matte hues that look marvelous on all complexions.

Like its predecessor (Just Peachy Mattes), this palette has a fabulous selection of wearable shades that go from neutral to dramatic, glamorous and smokey. The smooth velvety texture makes blending a breeze and the versatile crease and transition shades take your look to the next level.

Peach Suede makes a great base and pairs well with Glistening Peach which in my opinion is the star of this palette. The other show-stopping lid shades include Peach Ice (shimmering silver) and Peach Passion – a deep navy with multi-colored glitter that creates a sultry finish.

I recommend using a good primer to prolong wear and improve adhesion but the color payoff is buildable and the saturation is great. If this is your first peach palette you will notice the delicious scent of sweet fig cream wafting out from under the lid which is a delightful way to start the day. To reduce fallout, pat the glittery pigments on with a dampened brush instead of swiping, this also helps increase the intensity.

Too Faced I Want Kandee Eye Shadow Palette Review & Swatches

Designing my own makeup line would be a dream come true and although many beauty influencers never get the opportunity to do so, Kandee Johnson has. With bright blue hair and a bubbly personality she has gained 1.7 million Instagram followers and has nearly 9 years of YouTube videos under her belt. Her Too Faced Palette collaboration is just as impressive featuring 12 shadows and 3 highlighters with shimmer, satin and matte finishes.

These color combinations are gorgeous! The first time I opened the pretty pink tin I couldn’t wait to use it. What I love most is how all the colors are expertly coordinated. You have shimmery Sweet Toffee paired with orangey matte Butterscotch, Frosted Pink with Hot Chocolate, Sugar Plum with Cocoa and Strawberry with Cream. There are pops of vibrancy balanced with neutrals and basics to create effortless contrast and definition. Anyone can use these shades and make them look fabulous whether you are just starting out with makeup or you’ve already established your style.

The highlighters at the bottom are a nice touch but the white tones are too similar. The palette could use a bit more variety in that area but it isn’t enough to downplay how amazing the pigments look. You get a lot of shadow yet the tin is travel-friendly with everything needed to transform your look from day to night.

The shadows are lightweight, creamy and highly saturated so they layer and blend wonderfully. The shimmers appear iridescent and metallic with smooth, radiant coverage that makes your eyes look mesmerizing. I can’t get enough of Sweet Toffee (second swatch from the bottom) it has become my new go-to shade.

The I want Kandee Limited Edition Palette retails for $45.00. I don’t see it online at the moment but you can always check the stores in your area.

Too Faced Peach Kiss Lipstick Review

I rarely review just 2 shades of lipstick but these stunners are my favorite colors in the Peach Kiss Collection. I usually opt for rich, glamorous hues that are deep and sultry or bright and show-stopping even though everyone seems obsessed with nude lips at the moment.

No matter what your complexion you can’t go wrong with something in the berry or plum spectrum and Drunk Dial has a flattering blend of pink and purple tones. The peach and sweet fig scent is delicious and the creamy formula glides on full-coverage, ultra-lightweight, smooth and moisturizing for long wear and comfort.

Stop Traffic is perfect for every occasion – think of it as your power color that evokes confidence and high-fashion with every strut you take. This is a red that all women can wear since there are no harsh orange or blue undertones. The dramatic matte finish is nicely balanced without being too bright or dark and red lips are totally on-trend for the holiday season. Both lipsticks are highly saturated for intense color payoff that doesn’t dry out or flake.

Too Faced 2017 Holiday Collection – Best Year Ever

Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the wayyy...Don’t you just love the holiday season!? My favorite carols are stuck in my head, the Christmas decor looks warm and cozy (even though it’s freezing outside) and you have a legitimate reason to shop till you drop while splurging on some makeup for yourself (just write it off as a gift, no one has to know). Recently Too Faced has released a ton of new products that coincide with popular trends, collaborations with beauty gurus and new additions to previous collections that we just can’t get enough of. It can be difficult not to lose control and buy everything but with a Christmas Collection called “Best Year Ever” you really can’t go wrong.

This fabulous set retails for $49.00 and comes with so much! You get 3 palettes: Natural Beauty, I Believe in Pink and Super Fun Night for a total of 18 pretty eye shadows and 3 face products (blush, highlighter and bronzer). It also includes the Better Than Sex Mascara (travel-size) and a cute makeup bag that is perfect for beauty tools and essentials.

The great thing about this kit is that you can give the entire thing to someone special or present it as 3 separate gifts (maybe even keep one for yourself). The color scheme is very wearable with a nice range of shimmers, cool tones, smokey shades and neutrals to create a wide variety of looks. It may not have the glam-factor you’d expect from a holiday collection but the radiant bronze, sparkling gold and garnet pink are great for parties and the matte finishes add beautiful contrast.

The color pairings are well coordinated so whether you’re aiming for office appropriate or a sexy date look, there are enough options to take you from day to night. Overall I found the pigmentation and saturation quite good. The shadows are smooth and silky with buildable coverage and intensity especially when used with primer. They also blend well and resist creasing but I did notice a few similarities between some of the neutrals so a little more variety would have been a nice touch.

I Believe in Pink lives up to its name with that bright blush which could have used a hint of plum or mauve to tone it down a bit. The stars of this palette are the golden pink and radiant bronze shadows which are both stunning!

Natural Beauty includes a golden bronzer which I classify as highlighter and deep, smoldering hues that look wonderful together. I prefer the mattes in this palette because you get a dark chocolate, caramel and cream.

Super Fun Night is what I expected the Natural Beauty Palette to be with mild grey tones, classic black and light slivery hues - everything you need to create a classic smokey eye.
