Too Faced Glitter Pop! Peel-Off Eyeliner Review

Spring showers have brought warmer temperatures and the onset of summer! Here in Toronto we only have a few short months to enjoy the season and I plan on taking full advantage. An easy way to glam-up your makeup for an evening out is by adding a touch of brilliant sparkle and the Too Faced Glitter Pop Liners are easy to use, multidimensional and dazzling!

The liners are available in a variety of fun shades with multi-color shimmer that makes your eyes stand out. To apply the glitter, thoroughly coat the brush and apply 3-4 layers in short feathery strokes to create a solid line.

An easier method is to start with pencil or liquid liner and go over the line with glitter until you've intensified the color.

You can also layer the glitter over eye shadow for a dramatic finish. Once dry, the liner stays put all day until you are ready to peel it off and it removes easily with no scatter or fallout.

My favorite shades are Kitty Glitter (pink with blue and silver) and Lucky Bitch (radiant gold) but you can always mix and match to create your own cool effects.

The Liners retail for $20.00 each and Too Faced is available at Sephora and online at toofaced.com.

Too Faced Chocolate Gold Collection Review

Like most women I love chocolate and gold has been my go-to shade since I started wearing makeup so naturally I needed this collection. The Chocolate Gold Palette ($49.99) is the star of the show featuring dramatic shades that will inspire you to create magnificent looks and strut around like a total diva. For even more glam, the shimmery loose pigment, warm bronzer and Liquefied Gold Gloss will make you gleam like a queen.

I always talk about how scrumptious Too Faced products smell and this gorgeous palette is extra cocoa-y (your stomach may rumble with cravings but your eyes will look sexy). The color scheme is right up my alley featuring a variety of gold tones, bright pink, deep purple, icy blue, sparkling green, silver and more. The shadows are extremely vivid, ranging from shimmer to metallic with amped-up radiance but there are a few neutral mattes for crease definition, highlighting and blending.

The packaging is flashy and decadent with melted gold drizzled over a chocolate bar. Too Faced is known to dazzle us with prettiness and this palette makes your vanity look so much cooler.

The shadows have a rich, velvety texture for smooth application, easy blending and fantastic saturation. You can layer to enhance the intensity but the colors are highly pigmented, long-lasting and flattering on all skin tones. The formula is infused with real gold to create a high-shine, foiled finish that enhances the eyes with lustrous sparkle. Like most of my Too Faced palettes, the quality is top-notch and I have no problem with creasing or fading.

I wore the vivid pink to a recent media event and everyone loved it! The vibrant colors add pizzazz to your everyday looks and I’m not afraid to rock these shades anytime, anywhere. With a little crease sculpting you can pull these off day or night and gold is an elegant hue that never goes out of style.

The Pure Gold Loose Glitter ($17.00) gives you that Goddess glow from head-to-toe. It is also infused with real gold and can be used on the face and body. I have a love-hate relationship with glitter because it looks amazing but gets everywhere! This sparkly dust isn’t so bad, you can contain the particles by using fluid application strokes to attain concentrated highlight. Use a lot and you will gleam like the sun but make sure to layer over primer to prevent transfer and scatter (it doesn’t adhere very well otherwise).

The Best Selling Chocolate Matte Soleil Bronzer ($30.00) smells delicious and provides a medium tan with buildable color.

There are a few different bronzers in this collection including a dark matte finish and a gold shimmer powder which is more my style. This shade is too light for my skin tone but the texture is smooth and silky.

The Melted Gold Liquefied Lip gloss ($21.00) reminds me of Midas – everything it touches turns to gold! This ultra shimmery, high impact color drenches lips in layers of glittering shine. The formula is supple, highly pigmented and hydrating with smooth, comfortable glitter and no streaking. The effect is eye-catching but a tad eccentric for everyday wear. I’m saving it for a fun party or glitzy event where it is perfectly acceptable to dip your lips in gold.

Too Faced Just Peachy Mattes Eye Shadow Palette Review & Melted Latex Liquefied High Shine Lipstick

It seems like the Peach Collection by Too Faced just keeps getting better with even more fruity goodness and bold new color. The Just Peachy Palette ($45.00) features 12 matte shades of warm peach, butter cream and chocolaty brown that smell as good as they look with a dash of scrumptious fig cream.

The orange, sangria and brown hues mix and match beautifully to capture the essence of fall and resemble changing autumn leaves. Most of these shades are great for crease sculpting, transitioning color, and blending with a silky, buildable texture. Although using a good primer is recommended to enhance vibrancy, the shadows are highly pigmented for intense, versatile coverage.

The palette is a great size for travel and quite durable with a large mirror for application.

If you own a few other Too Faced Palettes, this one compliments them well by creating definition and smokiness. You can pair the vivid mattes with sparkling shimmer to create striking contrast and the color lasts all day without fading or creasing. These rich, toasty shades compliment all skin tones and create a variety of trendy looks.

The new Melted Latex Collection encompasses everything a good liquid lipstick should be – bold color, luxuriously creamy and extremely saturated. I love everything about these lush, striking shades including the moisturizing formula, high-shine finish and long doe-foot applicator. The lacquer-like intensity makes lips appear full and juicy plus the color clings to skin for longer wear.

The shades I chose are perfect for fall. Bite me is a vampy wine-red and Hot Mess is a bright mid-tone pink. The lipsticks retail for $21.00 each.

The La Crème Color Drenched Lipsticks ($22.00) are a popular obsession on social media and these two shades - Sweet Maple and Berry Naughty are perfect for the season. Loaded with antioxidants, collagen and emollients, the lipstick glides on smooth and creamy for comfortable wear and lots of hydration.  I love how supple and healthy they make my lips feel and the glistening finish is lightweight and radiant.

La Creme Lipstick & Melted Latex

Don’t let the cold weather dull your glow. The Love Light Prismatic Highlighters ($30.00 ea) will keep your skin fresh and luminous with a unique blend of liquid, cream and powder. The crushed pearl particles apply seamlessly and sparkle in the light at any angle for a gorgeous ethereal glow. You can go from sheer and subtle to dramatic strobing and all 3 shades are universal.

Too Faced Natural Love Eye Shadow Palette Review

As many of you know I love Too Faced Cosmetics and many beauty junkies share my obsession, but when I first heard about the new Neutral Palette I couldn’t help wonder if we really needed another one. It seems like every brand has jumped-on the neutral trend bandwagon recently but if you’re thinking this palette is like all the others, you’d be wrong!

This collection goes above and beyond your run-of-the-mill beige, taupe and brown hues because we already have those. Instead it contains 30 mesmerizing pigments that range from radiant gold, luminous pink, champagne, coppery-garnet, bronze, deep chocolate and more. The versatile finishes include matte, shimmer, glitter and chrome to create beautiful depth, contrast and illumination.

Too Faced definitely pulled out all the stops for this one and the best thing about the shadows is the amazing color payoff! The pigments are rich, buttery, smooth and soft for excellent blending and buildable intensity. They layer effortlessly and adhere well for long lasting coverage with no creasing or fading (especially when used with primer) and they look ravishing on all skin tones.

The shade selection is fabulously fool-proof because no matter how you mix and match, the results are gorgeous eyes! The collection includes everything you need to create a variety of looks to suite your style, including dark crease shades for sculpting, transition hues and highlighters.

I love the mix of pale and bright pink with different undertones and the other half of the spectrum features brilliant, metallic finishes that make a make a bold statement. With this range you have the option of going soft and sexy or smokey and seductive plus with so many stunning combinations, the palette is ideal for everyday use and travel.

Natural Love retails for $69.00 and Too Faced is available at Sephora and online at toofaced.com

Too Faced & Kat Von D Better Together Ultimate Eye Collection Review

When two of your favorite makeup brands unite to create one lust-worthy collection, the results are a match made in makeup heaven! Both TooFaced and Kat Von D Beauty are well known for their phenomenal pigments and this stunning collaboration is like two popular styles colliding to create one magical blend – fresh and trendy VS rich and dramatic.

Both brands are also known for their enticing packaging and they definitely amped-up the cuteness for The Ultimate Eye Collection. The kit includes a heart shaped magnetized palette that can be split apart into halves and each side contains 6 beautiful eye shadows. It also comes with a full-size Better Than Sex Mascara and Kat’s cult favorite Tattoo Liner with 24 hour waterproof wear – all for $79.99.

When it comes to high quality, intense pigment few do it better than Kat and this palette is no exception! The shadows are soft, velvety and creamy for full-coverage vibrancy and bold finishes. The shade selection is a bit unconventional (which I love) and they work together harmoniously to create show-stopping looks. The unique shimmery red with radiant metallic undertone is like nothing I have in my collection and although some may find it difficult to pull off, when applied right it looks amazing!

The gold shade called Lovestruck applies sheer to medium but the colors are long-lasting, non-creasing and highly blendable with little fallout. Even without primer these pigments are incredibly intense but I still recommended a good base for adhesion. The matte grey, matte black and shimmery grey are perfect for a seductive smoky effect.

The Too Faced Palette is a bit softer with matte cream, soft pink, sparkling gold, silvery green, deep plum and glittery brown. These shadows are also highly pigmented, vivid, silky and impactful with more versatility for day wear. You can also mix and match both color collections for a variety of stunning creations and the shadows are well formulated for professional results.

The Better Together Cheek & Lip Makeup Bag Set is adorable! The Too Faced side is sparkly pink with a little puppy and Kat’s side is black featuring a doe-eyes kitty. Inside the heart shaped pouch you get the Candlelight Glow Highlighter, the Love Flush Blush in the shade Happy Together, Kat’s Everlasting Lipstick in XO and the Studded Kiss Lipstick in Muse.

The highlighter is one I use frequently and although the blush is soft and shimmery it needs a bit more pigmentation.

I am totally in love with the liquid lipstick, in fact I think I found my new signature red and the golden-nude tone of the mini lipstick is very flattering. This set retails for $47.00.

Too Faced 2016 Holiday Collection: Naughty Kisses & Sweet Cheeks Review

Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way! It’s not even Halloween yet and my enthusiasm for the holiday season rivals Santa’s. I don’t know about you, but I’ve started checking things off my shopping list early this year and believe it or not I’ve almost finished organizing my gifts! When the last minute mall goers are fighting for parking spaces in a blinding blizzard, I’ll be cocooned in a warm throw with some hot cocoa. To help make gift giving easier, Too Faced has released a collection of festive new sets that are sure to please!

For the makeup lovers on your list, the Naughty Kisses & Sweet Cheeks Collection is a treat! The set comes with 3 mini blush and lip gloss duos in coordinating shades. You can keep one for yourself, give one to a friend or get busy stuffing those stockings! For just $45.00 ($15.00 per set) you can check three people off your list at once and if you want to be extra nice, pair it with a gorgeous Too Faced eye shadow palette. There are even gift tags on the back of the decorative boxes!

For ladies who prefer neutral tones, this box contains the Deluxe Lip Injection Gloss in the shade Milkshake and the Love Flush Blush in Baby Love. The blush contains a subtle dusting of shimmer and emits a soft, peachy glow. The gloss has a shiny finish with a very sheer, nude tint. If you are new to the Lip Injections keep in mind that the formula is meant to plump for a voluminous effect so you will experience a slight stinging sensation that dissipates within a few minutes.

The next set includes the clear Lip Injection (which can be layered over any lipstick) and the shimmery pink blush in the shade Crazy in Love. This box can be gifted to people of all skin tones (if they like pink) and the silky pigment adds a pop of vibrant color and highlight. The blush is also quite buildable with great color-pay off and on a gloomy winter day this shade definitely perks-up the complexion!

Last but not least we have my favorite gloss from the Injection range called Like a Boss and the Love Flush Blush in the shade Dream Lover. Like all lip color in this collection, this one is also sheer but it has a pretty lavender tone that makes lips appear juicy and alluring. On my skin, the blush appears lavender-pink which has a fresh highlight effect but I can see it being a bit ashy on deeper skin tones. I would have preferred a rich plum hue instead but the great thing about buying multiple sets is that you can gift them to whoever suits the shades best.

I think if the boxes contained the Too Faced Melted Lipsticks instead of the Injections they would be even more enticing (at least to me) but these cute little gifts would make any girl squeal for joy! The mini sizes also make the products great for travel and small handbags.

Too Faced The Power of Makeup Palette by Nikkie Tutorials: Review & Swatches

Unless you’ve been totally unplugged from social media and its constant trend updates then you are well aware that Too Faced is taking the world by storm and rolling out hit after glorious hit! It has almost reached the point where I don’t even have to question whether or not I’m going to like the pigments and recently the brand teamed up with global beauty mega star Nikkie to collaborate on a fabulous multi-purpose palette.

The pink animal print is just a teaser for what's to come as you excitedly crack open the lightweight, magnetic cover. Inspired by makeup’s ability to transform, inspire and promote confidence, the palette contains 9 new eye shadows, 2 blushes from the Love Flush range, the bestselling Chocolate Soleil Bronzer and a Champagne Truffle Highlight.

The set also comes with a bonus bag of goodies including the Better than Sex Mini Mascara in limited edition purple, full size liquid liner, Glittering Glamour dust (which is essentially loose glitter) and the highly popular Shadow Insurance Primer. This versatile collection is almost everything you need to create a complete look (minus the lipstick) but Too Faced has an amazing selection of lip pigment so problem solved!

Get ready to unleash your inner artist with an exquisite range of multi-dimensional finishes including creamy mattes, provocative shimmers and bold glitters! Wham Bam - a vivid jewel purple and Mystic Hour (glittering blue) are my favorite shades and just too gorgeous to resist! The sparkle hues - Frosted Yum (silver) and Irresistible (gold) reminds me of the holiday season and glamorous parties! Despite their glittery appearance they apply neat and smooth so my face isn’t covered in messy fall-out.

All the colors that you’d want in a matte finish are! The deep brown is pretty much my go-to crease sculptor as it compliments many hues and I can fade it, deepen it or enhance it with the dark black. Painkiller is a basic caramel that works well to transition and blend everything together cohesively and Sugar Coated (frosty pink) adds a fresh, subtle twist.

Most shades provide good coverage and saturation when applied over primer and the formula is non-creasing, buildable, long-lasting and easy to blend. Ivy (the matte cream) is the only sheer shadow and the vivid purple surprisingly required more layering for the results I wanted. Although some of you may think these shades are not ideal for day wear, it really depends on your style and preference. I would rock these colors anytime, anywhere!

For blush you have two classic options - orange coral and pink. I would have liked a deeper blush with a mauve or berry base but I’m not complaining!

The chocolate bronzer is a bit light for me but with so many complexion variations and just one spot for a contour hue you can’t really expect them to accommodate everyone. That being said I can use this shade as a neutral blush or shadow and it still provides a bit of definition. Champagne Truffle is a gorgeous skin illuminating highlight that works for all skin tones. You can tone it down for a sheer candlelight glow or kick it up a notch for maximum radiance.

If you like these colors and you want a palette that is great for travel The Power of Makeup is a good option. Unfortunately the palette is limited edition so you should probably act quickly. It retails for $68.00 and Too Faced is available at Sephora and a toofaced.com.
