Black Smokey Eye Makeup

Hi everyone, today I am going to share a dark sultry look I created using the Naked 2 Palette. This look is very simple and works well for date night or a night out on the town with your girl friends.

Get this look:
*The first thing I did was prime my eyes using the Urban Decay Primer Potion. Make sure you also prime  under your eyes since you will be applying shadow there as well.

*Using the color Blackout from the Naked 2 palette you are going to heavily cover your entire lids. Try not to go too high up into the crease, you want to keep the shadow on the lids.

*Using a small brush cover the area under your eyebrows in foundation. You want this area to look smooth and even and you want a nice contrast between the black.

*Line your lower lash line with a black eyeliner. I used the Revlon Colorstay pencil liner. I would stay away from using a harsh liquid liner.

* Using Blackout again, line under your lower lash line and use a smudge brush to fade the line and create a smokey effect.

*Highlight around your inner tear duct with the color Verve, this helps to brighten up the eyes. I also added a tiny bit of this color right under my eyebrows.

*Add your mascara.

*Finish it up with some lipstick and the look is complete!

Peacock Eye Makeup

photo from: commons.wikimedia.org
In the past I have found inspiration in some odd things that have inspired many different makeup looks. One look I have tried in the past was inspired by the beautiful colors of a peacock feather. The old look I created however lacked the bold combination of  colors so I have re-created the look.

I know this is not makeup that you would wear to work or out to the grocery store but sometimes I like to create looks that are creative. I like to blend shades and to utilize the bold colors in my makeup palettes that people tend to steer away from.

Inglot
Coastal Scents
To achieve this look I used  the above palettes and 6 different colors ranging from purple, light purple, dark green, light green, aqua blue and dark blue.

Summer Sunset Inspired Eye Shadow: Highlighting & Warm Foundation

I decided to so something inspired by the beautiful colors in a summer sunset on a warm night because I love how the colors blend together in the sky. I used deep orange, deep red and corals. I also used pinks and a bit of silver to tie everything together. For this look I used my Coastal Scents palette and my Inglot palette. I also used some of my e.l.f. shadows.

In total I used 9 different colors to get this effect and blended them together. I also used a warmer (darker) foundation and I tried to make sure the lighting was warm for more of a summer's evening bronzed effect instead of shooting in direct sunlight or with bright lights.

I used a lot of my Lorac Tantalizer Bronzer to give my skin a radiant glow (I did a review in a previous post about this bronzer).

Coral and Gold Eye Shadow Using Inglot Shadows

I love this coral color in my Inglot palette. It isn't quite like any other color I have in my shadow collection. It is by far my favorite color in the palette.
I combined the coral tone #336 with the gold color from my Naked 2 palette called Half Baked (second color from the left below)
This look was super easy to do but I love how the colors compliment each other.

I realized that when I posted the Inglot palette in my previous haul I did not let everyone know what the colors are, so they are posted below in case you are interested in getting any of these shades.

Purple #439
Teal green #372
Sky blue #371
Orange coral #366
Sparkly orange #51

Yellow and green makeup look

I decided to try out a vibrant yellow cream eye shadow that I got from Hard Candy the other day. I really like yellow and green together so this is what I came up with.

To get this look I used
*Urban decay primer potion all over my lids
*I used my Costal Scents 88 shimmer palette for most of the eye shadow

*On my inner eyelid area I used this yellow cream eye shadow by Hard Candy called Midas Touch

*Under my outer waterline I used this green eye shadow and liner pencil by Ruby Kisses

*On my inner tear duct area I used my Faces sparkle dust as a highlight
*To line my top lid I used the black cream eyeliner by e.l.f.
*To line my bottom waterline I used the black colorstay eyeliner by Revlon.
