How Silk’n Silhouette Body Contouring Works

The Silk’n Silhouette provides effective clinical reshaping treatments from the comfort of home with no down time. The device is easy to use and ergonomically designed to fit comfortably in the hand for optimal maneuverability.

It works by merging 3 powerful but gentle energy sources:

How to use Silk’n Silhouette

To get the most from my treatments, I prefer to use cellulite gel creams that moisturize and smooth with active ingredients. My favorites are the Clarins Body Fit Anti-Cellulite Contouring Expert ($68.00) formulated with essential oils that lift and reshape. I also like Mary Kay’s Timewise Body ($38.00) to soften and reduce imperfections.

Apply a layer of cellulite cream to clean dry skin, plug in the device and start at level 1 before increasing the intensity. There are 3 modes that you can switch between to customize your treatment for different areas of the body. Move the plates slowly and gently across the skin alternating between vertical and circular motions to boost the lymphatic system.

The treatment feels warm and relaxing but don’t press too hard. I made the mistake of vigorously over massaging during my first session and my thighs felt sore afterwards. For best results remember to use the Silhouette continuously over several weeks for visible results and stay dedicated to prevent the skin from reverting.

My Results

Although I don’t have severe cellulite, dimples or rippling, I began using the Silhouette because I’ve noticed that my inner thighs are not as toned as they once were. My goal was to tighten the flesh, improve texture and keep underlying fat cells from becoming a real problem.

After weeks of using the device (and altering my diet) I’ve definitely noticed a tightening effect and an improvement in the shape of my legs. How it Works

ReVit combines microdermabrasion exfoliation with crushed diamonds and vacuum suction to remove dead cells and reveal the soft skin underneath. Unlike creams or scrubs, the machine does far more than scratch the surface. It gently lifts away flaky, damaged skin and deposits it in the filter so you can actually see the build-up.

Using the Device

The ReVit is not battery operated so you can simply plug it in, turn it on and lightly drag the tip across the face in short, careful strokes. On some areas you may need to hold your skin taut to enhance suction and the instructions suggested treating each area (forehead and temples, cheeks, nose, around the mouth, chin and neck) for 5 minutes each although I usually do it for about 2-3 mins per section.

Customize the intensity by adjusting the pressure you use or alternate the heads to accommodate sensitive areas. There should be no discomfort or pain but if you experience irritation I suggest applying a soothing aloe gel and tweaking the duration of your treatment. Do not use the device in combination with other abrasive products and allow your skin time to regenerate. I also recommend cleaning the filter after each use and replacing it often to keep the machine running smoothly.  

For best results do not apply any skincare before exfoliation and make sure your face is clean and dry. If you cleanse prior to treatment, wait a few minutes until the moisture has completely dissipated or else the device may not grip and glide as efficiently. Dryness and streaking is common as dead cells are removed so don’t panic if your skin looks a bit ashy. Complete your session with a replenishing moisturizer to rehydrate and plump.

I recommend using the microderm in the evening before bed because if your skin is a bit sensitive you should avoid applying makeup or sunscreen for at least a few hours.

My Results

The most significant change in my skin has been the supple, silky texture but I've also noticed an incredible improvement in clarity, tone and evenness. My face looks renewed and discoloration has faded substantially. After treatment my skincare products also seem to absorb better which makes my complexion appear radiant and dewy.

Each week I perform two 10 minutes sessions and there are 5 levels that gradually increase in heat and energy frequency. After testing the device on your arm for possible side-effects, start at the first level and work your way up. As you move the Titan across the skin there is soothing warmth and bright red lights. The sensation is relaxing and I have not experienced redness, pain or irritation. Even on the highest setting the heat feels very comfortable.

The Titan does not work without a conductor so you must apply a thin layer of Hyaluronic Slider Gel to activate the machine. I find the formula a bit sticky so I prefer to use gel-based moisturizers or night masks that don't require rinsing.
