Urban Decay AfterGlow Blush Review

Nothing brightens up the complexion and gives you at radiant summer glow like gorgeous blush and a dab of highlight. Urban Decay has released the AfterGlow collection for an alluring, romantic flush and lightweight, luxurious pigment that lasts up to 8 hours! Whether you have a hot date, an evening with the girls or a summer barbecue there is something to suit every style.

The blushes are available in 12 pretty hues that range from neutral, deep and bright for contour, definition and a pop of feminine color. The soft, creamy texture is finely milled and easy to blend for smooth, buildable coverage and professional results. Light diffusing pigments help enhance and perfect the skin and the gunmetal packaging with peek-a-boo mesh top is eye catching and trendy.

The streak-free, silky formula applies seamlessly with the option of matte and shimmer finishes and there is no powdery coating no matter how much you layer on. The soft texture adheres well to a fluffy powder brush and sweeps onto the skin beautifully with no caking.

Quickie is a vibrant, deep pink with a stunning matte finish. Although it looks quite bold in the palette it builds from sheer to medium so you can control the effect without worrying about overdoing it. This is my favorite shade because it compliments all skin tones from light to deep and looks stylish during any season.

Crush is also a vivid, matte pink with a bit less magenta than Quickie and a lighter finish. This is another universal shade that never goes out of season. It provides more of a subtle, natural flush and can be paired beautifully with a summer highlight.

The next two blushes fall in the neutral range. Score is a shimmery, dusty rose with a hint of pink. It highlights and helps shape the cheekbones for scintillating illumination and soft contour.

Video is a velvety nude-beige that is a bit less useable as a traditional blush because it doesn’t provide much color. If you are going for that bare-face look then you can use this hue for a bit of shading but I tend to use it as eyeshadow since it works very well in the crease for blending and transitioning color.

The AfterGlow blushes retail for $26.00 U.S. and $31.00 CA, you can pick them up at Sephora and online at Urbandecay.com.

    1. You can definitely try to use the pigment for eyeshadow as well if they work for the look you are creating!
