Almay intense i-color review: smokey-i for brown eyes

Although I love bright flashy eye shadow I also like to tone it down with equally stunning earthy gold hues. Gold and bronze shades compliment most skin tones and can transition from day to night by simply tweaking the colors. Today I want to give an honorable mention to a pretty little palette that packs a punch of beautiful shimmer and great saturation.

This combination of colors is designed to intensify brown eyes for a glamorous smokey effect that anyone can create. There are also 3 other color combinations for blue, hazel and green eyes.

The eye shadows are luxuriously smooth and have a great velvety texture. They also provide consistent, full-coverage that can be enhanced with a good primer and the color is long-wear with no creasing. The palette is designed for simple, quick application which is great for the mornings you are in a rush. The three step process produces simple yet pretty results especially when paired with black eyeliner and mascara.

To use: simply apply the bottom shade all over the lids, blend the center shade into the crease and sweep the top shade onto the brow bones for highlight. The colors are soft and pretty so to achieve a true smokey eye I like to blend a darker shade into the crease like a deeper brown or even a bit of black to add depth.
