When I buy cosmetics one of my favorite things to purchase
is eye shadow. I love changing up my eye makeup with the seasons to match my
mood and style. This holiday Sephora has released some gorgeous palettes to diversify and enhance your makeup collection!
The Pop-Up Party Hello Kitty eye shadow palette from the brand's limited edition 40th anniversary collection is sure
to excite all the makeup lovers on your holiday list! This cute, iconic little
kitty is a adored by women of all ages and the palette is packaged in an eye catching box that opens to reveal a fun pop up display!
The shadows sit in a tray which pulls out to display 20 dazzling shades all named after Hello Kitty’s favorite things such as apple pie, hot cocoa and chocolate chip.

The shades in this palette are gorgeous and range from pink,
purple, navy, gold, teal, taupe, blue, bronze and more! The collection of hues
includes some of my favorite color trends and has enough variety to compliment
many preferences, styles and skin tones.
Some of shadows feel slightly textured but overall I found
them to be quite soft, smooth and buildable. The pigmentation is vivid although
some shades are more saturated than others and the finishes range from: metallic,
satin, neutral and matte. I like how easy the pigments are to blend, mix and
match to create looks for every occasion.
When the shadows are applied lightly you can achieve subtle coverage but if you’re like me and prefer bold color you can layer them
heavily for more intensity and glamour. I recommend using a good primer to
enhance the color.
(swatches from left to right: Kitty-Chan, Dear Daniel, Happy, Anniversary, Three Apples, Bow, The Original)
The shadow last all day without creasing or fading and I didn't find them to be chalky or have much of an issue with fall-out.

The tray of shadows doesn't pull completely out of the box which
would have been nice but I think this palette has great versatility, gorgeous color range and I like the quality. You can find this collection at Sephora, the palette retails for
$62 CAD.
Wow the pigmentation is pretty good! I'm in love with the teal shade! So pretty, and perfect for HK lovers!
ReplyDeleteThe teal shade is one of my favs too!
DeleteNice, all-day wear from a Hello Kitty palette? I never would've guessed it to be true. I'm really surprised, delightfully. Thanks for the review!
ReplyDeleteI know! I think because the palette looks so fun and cute people may assume that it's all about packaging rather than quality but I think the shadow is great! With a primer I didn't have any issue with fading.
Deleteaww, I want this palette, thank you for awesome review :)

If you get it let me know what you think and you're very welcome :)
DeleteGorgeous palette! The colors are so pigmented, too. What camera do you use? Your pics are so sharp!
ReplyDeleteThe colors are very pretty, I can see myself using the palette often. I think its more about lighting with the photos, I don't have a fancy camera or lens, I just try to get up close, make sure everything is in focus and use direct lighting. Sometimes I take tons of photos before I get a few that I like but I'm picky!
DeleteI was really wondering about this palette since past hello kitty kits have had not-so-great shadows in them. The quality of this palette looks so much better though! And that packaging is so adorable!
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried the previous shadows but I like this one! Hell Kitty has stepped it up LOL
DeleteThe packaging is so cute. The shadows look really pigmented! I'm surprised, considering it's Hello Kitty.
