Burberry Full Kisses Lip Color Review

Since Burberry launched its beautiful makeup line I’ve started a nice collection of essentials. The pigments are classic, the packaging is simple and the finishes are elegant and bold - very much like the fashion. Recently the brand released the seductive Full Kisses Collection to celebrate vivid long-lasting color and fuller-looking lips.

Aside from an array of pretty shades including corals, pinks, lilac, berry and nudes, I love the new shape and design. Unlike traditional lipsticks, these come in long chrome tubes and the color twists up like a jumbo lip pencil. The wide pointed tip and flat, slanted surface hugs the contour of lips for mistake-proof application in one simple stroke. 

The rich, ultra creamy formula drenches lips in a luxurious veil of smooth, brilliant color and the pigments apply sheer to full-coverage with a shiny finish. You can use the edge to create shape or definition and the lush texture provides layers of hydration to keep dryness and chapping at bay.

The consistency is moist and non-sticky but the pigments adhere well without feeling heavy or thick. Because the texture is very creamy, the color is prone to transfer so layering helps prolong wear and promotes gradual fading which looks fabulous! The shades I have are: Light Crimson which is a vibrant, summery orange-coral and Nude Blush - a light pink that pairs well with some of my darker shadows and smokey looks. When you’re in the mood for something matte, the Lip Velvets are sumptuous, vivid and sophisticated - inspired by opulent English fabrics. Rosy Red is a timeless, sultry shade reminiscent of Hollywood glam and high-fashion. The pigment glides on like a dream without any drag and saturates lips in creamy, striking color that is rich yet very comfortable. The Velvets also layer well for medium to opaque coverage and the shine-free, pure color makes lips appear plump and alluring. They retail for $38.00 each and if you’re on the hunt for a signature red I highly recommend this shade.

We’ve explored bright creams and pure mattes so for those who prefer something subtle and radiant the Burberry Kisses Sheer Lipsticks may be more your style. Instead of lip balm or gloss, pop one of these in your purse for layers of lip lovin nourishment and silky hydration. These runway inspired, translucent hues come in a wide variety of juicy tints with a succulent gel texture that melts onto the lips for decadent suppleness.
