Beauty Box Five March 2014

Today I have another review on the Beauty Box Five March edition! This month’s box focuses on “clean gorgeous skin” for spring.

How it works
BeautyBox Five is a subscription service that starts at $12 for the monthly box, $30 for the quarterly subscription and $99 dollars for a year. In this box you will receive a mix of luxury items as well as common brands ranging from hair products, skin products, nail products, fragrances and beauty accessories. The box contains 5 sample products and usually one full sized item. The purpose of the subscription is to explore a variety of brands in order to determine which products work best for you.

This month’s box was fabulous! I love sampling skin care items and now that winter is slowly coming to an end I am gearing up to revitalize my skin for the warmer months.

First up is the Shea Body Butter by Tree Hut. After a nice warm shower, slathering on some thick creamy body butter is not only relaxing but great for the skin.

This extra thick lotion is paraben free and organic! It moisturizes with cocoa and shea butter and contains natural anti-aging properties. The scent is deliciously sweet and tropical and the lime, coconut blend makes skin smell wonderful! The box contained a 2oz sample and the regular size (7oz) retails for $7.49. I will definitely be looking for this in stores.
Swissco Dual-sided Facial Pad

At the end of every week to release stress I give myself a pampering facial. This facial pad can be used with your cleanser and water to exfoliate and soften skin. There is only one size which conveniently fits in the palm and is easy to pack for travel. Retail value: $2.00

H2O Plus Hand & Nail Cream

During the winter my hands tend to be dry and with repeated manicures I definitely needed this product. The cream is made to “soften even the roughest hands.” It contains vitamin E and botanicals and richly moisturizes and protects. It has a light, fresh scent and I like that it is non-greasy and doesn't leave my hands feeling slick. The box contained a handy purse sized (1oz) sample and the full size (6oz) retails for $15.

Jane’s Pick All Natural Soap

I prefer soaps that are mild, pleasantly scented and contain natural moisturizers so this soap is great! The ingredients include: olive oil, hemp seed oil, coconut oil, palm oil, avocado oil and essential oils. The sample was a thin slice of the soap which melted quite quickly and was good for one use. After using the soap skin feels fresh and clean. The full size retails for $8.

Bellapierre Cosmetics Makeup Base

Since receiving a gorgeous BellaPierre eye shadow in my last Beauty Box Five I have been looking forward to trying more products from this line. This multi-purpose product works as a concealer, illuminator and eye shadow primer. The shade is ivory but surprisingly it blends into my skin tone nicely, only a shade or so lighter to illuminate and help even out blemishes. This would be a great product to use under the eyes to help brighten and to highlight the face. The consistency is creamy and easy to blend. The box contained a full size jar which retails for $18.99.

This month’s box was great! I enjoyed all of the products and here is a sneak peek of next month's box!
